Service for me is gd ????
If you are ever headed for Antwerp, make a stopover in Schilde and visit this cracking restaurant. We turned up on a sunny afternoon on a Saturday and the spacious terrace was teeming with local people out for beers, wine and sharing platters. We were given a warm welcome by the owner and staff and I enjoyed the excellent Belgian beer whilst my wife quaffed Aperol Spritz!
As evening drew on, we stayed for Dinner as we saw the locals tucking into assorted platters of food.
This is a specialist steak restaurant and the owner is the main chef. I chose a huge Black Aberdeen Angus steak with frites and salad - this was outstanding and I have to admit that I did not finish it, although the rest we took away for a luxurious beef sandwich the next day! My wife chose the Gambas Valadzo and this prawn dish was also excellent.
A wonderful restaurant, with an exciting menu and a great ambience.
Wonderful meat, fine wines and a laid-back atmosphere. Also for non meat-eaters there are good alternatives, such as delicious gambas!
