Best WLM Reviews
A surpisingly cosy garden in the heart of Ghent! It offers privacy in its quiet and full of plants patio, which existance one will hardly think of! Just a few meters behind the famous and most advertised Korenleistraat you will probably not even notice the small entrance from the street. It leads directly to the garden.
The restaurant is quite different from the cocky, tourist and shiny cafes and restaurants on the main streets. Being located close to the Gravensteen castle, holding its nest in an old building, it somehow brings the atmosphere of homelike place from your childhood back to nowadays. The interior is not luxurious, but authentic and clean.
The cuisine is healthy, most of the food is with biological origin. The menu is short but in turn offers high quality dishes and drinks . The balance between vegetarian and meat meals is very good. The service is kind and informal. You can simply relax and enjoy a lazy Sunday late lunch.
A true oasis in the cityof stone!
Strongly recommend the local beer Gruut, the lamb curry and the soup of hummus. The quiche with vegetables is also tasty, but for some of you it might lack a pinch of salt.
The prices are a bit high as everything in a tourist center.
Damn what a beautiful place and this in the city center, perfect getaway from the touristic chaos, really friendly staff, lamb curry is really nice comfort food. Just a really beautiful and unique place to have some drinks and food
Pretty garden but food is not great. The goat cheese salad was pretty but except for the cheese itself rather plain and super small (for 15€!), hummus almost tasteless, cheap olives, quiche also lacked seasoning...
Delicious and healthy lunch in a charming garden, along with well-crafted cocktails.
Always an exciting still life is carefully displayed in the the vitrine. In the shop you can find one of a kind tapestries and antique eastern earthware and jewels. A warm soulful place to eat and drink, very welcoming and hospitable staff. The lamb curry was very nice
Ordered lamb curry and salad. Both of them were very dull. The garden is nice.
This hidden gem holds a very cosy, beautiful courtyard for a peaceful outdoor dining experience. 10/10 for their food: wonderfully presented and delicious too.
Absolutely lovely people! Summer garden is magical with all those wooden work decorations.
