Fancy bakery with extremely tempting cakes and tarts (try the bite sized ones for 1,5€) and their range of chocolates. Good bread selection as well but prices are on the higher end.
On the left side there is a lunch counter where you can get a soup of the day, salads, sandwiches, paninis, burgers...)
We discovered The Place to Be recently. We bought a nice cake last week and were very impressed so we thought to go back and buy another cake for my sisters birthday. It was a square chocolate cake that looked delicious but we were extremely disappointed when we cut the cake. It was extremely crumbly, dry and tasted stale. Almost as if it has been sitting out for a few days. Nobody ate the cake so we decided to pack it back in the box and return it the next day.
We took it back the next day and the manager came out very defensive even though we tried to reason with her and to let her know that we don’t doubt the quality of their cakes, however, that it was just disappointing.
She threw the cake on the counter and called us liars and that we left it out for hours to dry. This is not true as it was for a birthday and served immediately. After being called liars and bad people, another manager came out and brought out the same cake, cut it open in front of us and threw it on the counter and then threw it in the trash. This was very out of line and we did not cause a scene. They made us feel and look very bad.
It’s a shame because they do have nice things but they are very rude people.
My daughter and my son in law bought yesterday a cake , as we were celebrating a birthday in the family. The cake was not fresh, very dry and not tasty. Today, my children visited the shop with no intention to complaint, neither to ask the money back. They just wanted to inform the employees and the manager that the cake was not good. However, they received an unprecending offense , insault and aggressive attitude. The manager called them "liers" instead of apologising and respect his clients. He is very lucky that I was not present to talk to him with the same language and same manner. Appauling service , very dissapointing, last time our family will be at this place !!!!

Nous sommes déçus de notre passage dans ce lieu.
Premier point extrêmement négatif pour le confort de s’y poser et d’y manger: il fait très froid! On a du manger consommer avec nos vestes sur le dos…
Ensuite nous avons été déçus quant à la qualité des produits dont les prix sont élevés ! Les couques sont de qualités industrielles et non artisanales…
Un point très négatif encore pour nous est que, quand nous arrivons à 10h pour déjeuner, on ne peut pas nous dire qu’il n y a plus de chocolat chaud et de gosettes aux pommes… Ca montre un grand manque de gestion de stock…
Dernier point négatif: la disponibilité de couvert! On peut consommer du sucré et du salé sur place… mais alors que nous avons droit à des cuillères en inox pour le café, les couteaux à disposition des clients sont en plastique!!! Celui-ci n’a pas tenu le coup lorsqu’il a été utilisé pour couper une tartelette au citron!
La serveuse a du nous prêter son couteau de cuisine afin de pouvoir couper notre tartelette…
Le service est un point fort: la serveuse était patiente, souriante et vraiment aimable!
Un autre point fort est qu’il est possible d’avoir une carafe d’eau gratuite!
Nous ne retournerons clairement pas consommer dans cet endroit…
Sandwich de très très petite taille pour un prix très très élevé… qualité des produits industriels. Pour quelle raison je devrais me faire arnaquer ?
Dimanche 11h30 petit déjeuner à la carte car pas possible de changer la composition des menus standards
Donc opter pour un capuccino avec un jus d'orange suivit d'un sandwich mou garni de jambon fromage mayonnaise et d'un œuf brouillé accompagné de morceaux de baguette chaude le tout était parfait et délicieux et très frais
Le personnel efficace et accueillant de de très bonne humeur
Enfin j'ai passé un bon moment dommage que uniquement des clients de passage pour acheter du pain ou des pâtisseries pourtant très agréable de consommer sur place chose que je referais à mon prochain passage dans la région
