Dry aged beef, cooked perfect, and the atmosphere was amazing! Pricey, but you get what you pay for. Just wish there was a full menu at lunch time. Our wait staff member was just great!! Next time I come to DC will definitely have to stop back in at dinner.
We dropped in for a late lunch and were fortunate to get a table (reservations strongly recommended.) Absolutely perfect! I had the Seared Salmon with Mediterranean Couscous, Asparagus and Heirloom Tomatoes. My wife had Roasted Chicken with Mushroom Parmesan Risotto. Everything was cooked to perfection. Service was exemplary—Manuel took great care of us and presented his business card so that we could ask for him next time we visit.
Very nice place. With a 5 stars service and a delicious food, this is a must do while in Washington DC. The decorations and the ambiance are very inviting. Great selection of food. I highly recommend the truffles fries. Everyone in there is in sync to make this an unforgettable experience.
We had such a great night that evening. The vibe from this restaurant only added to it. The ambiance was great, it inspired our conversation. The food was worth the hour drive, it was seasoned and fresh… I absolutely loved that night.
The sides (wedge salad and brussel sprouts) were fantastic. Excellent choices of wines by the glass. The service is also great (even though they don't give you bread) but they are very attentive and fast. The aged NY bone in was good but not as good as I expected. A little overpriced in the end for what you get.
This review would’ve initially gotten a 3 star review due to the host giving my partner a dirty look upon arrival (blonde white woman with a bun), however our wonderful waiter, Eric H., completely elevated the experience. He was very attentive and engaging, made lots of conversation and made our first visit a pleasant one. We’ll be on the lookout for him upon our next visit to The Capital Grille.
Great customer service! Calamari here is sooo good. We ordered 2 different types of steaks and they were goot as well, but it's not like we have to come back just to have the steaks again.
Found a gem here! By myself from out of town looking for a good steak dinner, something unique though and DC style, but not snooty - well this is the place. Defi tely will be part of my DC routine. Cool relaxed hip high quality vibe as soon as you walk in. Everyone was friendly, talkative, and seemed generally happy to be there and that you came in.
