The restaurant is spotless. The kitchen is open and also very very clean. The staff were very friendly unlike many tourist spots where you can tell the employees are growing tired of people. If you have to wait for a table, wait near the kitchen entrance so you can pick out which dishes look the best to you. Everything we ordered was fantastic. I would have liked a small explanation between the plates and trays items on the menu but I didn't ask also. Cocktails are made properly and not weak. The Moscow mule has a chunk of candied ginger. Nice touch. This restaurant is close enough to home and far enough from the ocean so it's not overrun with crabby vacationers.
This was our first time here, the service was outstanding! I had the ribs, they weren't fall-off-the-bone ribs,my girlfriend had the burger and both were delicious. We would definitely return

Every facet of The Buxton Common deserves its own glowing recognition. Wow! Such a fantastic experience.
The Maple Old Fashion, Nashville Hot wedge salad and the flourless chocolate tort are all otherworldly. We enjoyed every other item too, but these three were flashes of genius handed to us on a plate.
The attention to detail with every dish, the decor, the Chef and the staff could not have been more perfect.

Holy moly. The poutine with brisket was everything I've ever wanted from poutine and probably could have been my meal. We also got the "roots" board, which had surprisingly light and fluffy falafel and delicious smoked cheeses. My wife got a friend chicken sandwich that was the size of at least two chicken sandwiches. I got "melt in your mouth" brisket that was so Smokey and delicious I need to go back for more. My two year old also enjoyed some of the leftovers the next day and he usually doesn't eat a lot of meat. Highly recommend!
At first when I saw this place I was worried I wouldn't like it. But low and behold this place surprised me. What a great meal. Hearty portions, excellent appetizers and amazing desserts. This is a definite must if you are in the area. Check them out.
Delicious food and a great atmosphere. Love having a place like this in Buxton. The menu is on the pricey side, but a great choice to save a drive to Portland when looking for good for and drink.

Great food. Smoked wings were great. Kids loved the chicken sandwich. Only opportunity was maybe don't put the dip for the wings in the same container, as mine was totally melted which was a turnoff. Other than that it was outstanding!
