What a let down. I read the reviews before coming but figured it couldn't be as bad as people said, but it was.
The buffet was strangely hard to find. It cost extra because it was "Easter brunch" but the carving station with a lot of the specialty meats was unmanned. There's more selection at a Golden Corral than they had here. I didn't see half of the menu items listed on the billboard, including the sushi. Everything I had was lukewarm except for the hot dog, and the hot dog wasn't even that good. The best parts were the cheese blintz and the ice cream/frozen yogurt machine (I recommend the coconut banana twist, if available). We filled up more on drinks than the food, because the food wasn't really worth getting more of. There were plenty of drink options, and the coffee was adequate.
The staff - those taking payment, those seating us, and those clearing the table - were all fine. The theming was very cool. Just, I figured for $50 per person including tax and tip that the food would be better OR at least have more variety.

The worst experience in everything when eating at this buffet. The food is tasteless. Nothing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING here has any flavor, or is decent enough to justify the $70 price tag plus tip. Extremely limited options. It’s Friday may 3rd, 2024. The food is absolutely disgusting. This place is a tourist trap. It’s incredible how many overweight people there are here and simply stack up the plates and happily wobble to their tale. Seriously… this place is disgusting ????????????. Flavorless, COLD, and terrible atmosphere.
We were staying here over Thanksgiving and chose the buffet for Thanksgiving dinner so we could have some turkey.
The buffet is set up nicely, but I would’ve moved the sides for a turkey dinner closer to the carving station. That way you could get your turkey and stuffing and mashed potatoes and gravy and sweet potatoes all at once instead or wandering around looking for it.
The buffet was very busy I stood in line for over 25 minutes trying to get some turkey and ham. They did have two carving stations.
Our server at our table was nice and very efficient. The people on the buffet line also were very nice.. I was in the Salad Bar section when I was approached by two chefs. They asked me a few questions, and I explained who I was, and where I was from they made a personal effort to come over to my table once I got my food and spoke to me for a few minutes, my husband and I ate here twice because there’s not much options food at the Luxor. We had a bad experience and a couple other restaurants there, so we tried the buffet and figured we could get enough.
I have many ideas, since I also am a chef that I tried to relay to the executive chef, and the young man that was training underneath him. I even left my phone number so he could reach out but he has not after eating here and the other restaurants I reached out to the hotel manager of the restaurants I have called and left several messages and would’ve like to speak to him before I wrote these reviews, but he has not returned my phone calls.
After our experiences, we have decided to change motels this year. Hope we have better luck with the food being hot and cook properly.
The buffet is displayed very nicely, lots of options, but there is room for improvements.
I found the ham, the hand carved beef, And the turkey were very good
I’ve never seen anyone put frozen mixed vegetables, peas, carrot, and corn, and stuffing their stuffing was horrifying terrible. The lobster raviolis were very good. Plenty of options, maybe too many options and need to spend more attention to the quality of the food and flavors.
Huge variety perfect for any palette. All food is self service except the carving station and make your own omelette station. Coffee and soft drinks are self serve and unlimited. Full bar is available for an additional fee; if you plan on more than one mimosa or beer the 90 minute bottomless option is (at least as of 5/22/2024) only a $16.99 add on so you’re better off purchasing that. The meal after tax is approximately $33 per person. If you use your MyVegas app redemption for the bogo deal, that makes this meal less than $17 each for a couple. Easily the best deal on the strip. We had no wait for entry and didn’t experience any lines at the buffet. Hours are quite limited so plan accordingly.
I’m not a big buffet guy, but this buffet at Luxor is awesome! Our 21/19/10 year old’s love the Pyramid interior of the Luxor. Food options go on and on. Super chill vibe, soft lighting, great service. The bloody Mary/mimosas Manager’s Special is a pretty fantastic deal as well, if you’re into that sort of thing. Remember to bring some cash to tip the bartender! I included a photo of the oysters. They looked sooooooo good, but I wasn’t daring enough to try them ???? maybe next time. Only thing missing was sriracha - seriously, so remember to bring your own ;-)
This restaurant has severely reduced hours, and is closed Monday and Tuesday. After a 30 minute wait, I was seated near the exit. I have a 30 year history at Luxor, and am disappointed in the way the buffet has declined. After the slowest check in I have ever seen, I proceeded to plare a breakfast that was barely edible. A third of the food display was empty. There has been a conscious effort to remove some of the Egyptian motif, but so much of it is part of the building, the result still resembles the original. Not worth the $35.
I loved my experience here! The food that I got was well above a normal buffet chain, unlike other reviews. Perhaps things are better mid-week. I'm not coming for gourmet food but the experience, and the theming here is exceptional! Exponentially beyond the buffet at New York-New York which literally did look like a normal restaurant. Sooo glad I passed on that one.
Very pleased with the beef roast which was thick and juicy, and just freshly done. Gave me a huge slice. Salad was great too! Fancy cut veggies are a nice touch.
I also got the "unlimited" mimosas and the bartender was very personable. And decently strong drinks. No waiting in line anywhere, at 12:00!
I couldn't recommend more.
