Such a uniquely different place with amazing food. We had the chips they make there with cheese and bacon, as an appetizer. We brought those home in hopes of heating up in the air fryer. My husband had a massive mushroom and Swiss burger. I had their crab cakes with lobster sauce, rice and a mango coleslaw. Our meals were amazing! They were probably the best crab cakes I’ve ever had, so good that I brought one home for dinner. Our server, Serenity was pleasant, knowledgeable friendly. After being seated, she greeted us in her scouts uniform with mini mouse ears. She’s adorable!! We were encouraged to explore and check out the Bubble Room while our food was being prepared. They had so much memorabilia but we particularly enjoyed the tin toys. Please enjoy the pictures. I encourage you to visit when in the area. You won’t regret it.
Kitschy is probably the best word to describe this family owned local restaurant. The portions are extremely generous, and they are famous for their gigantic slices of cake. The quality of food was very good and prices were reasonable. Serenity, our waitress, was very friendly and our entire large group had a great time. This was my second time here, and I'll definitely come back anytime I'm in Sanibel.
The Bubble Room restaurant is a very unique dining experience! Decorated for Christmas year-round. Food is good, but the desserts are to die for! If you have time for nothing else, I definitely recommend you stop in for a dessert! Portion sizes are large, prices are reasonable. Excellent service. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back!
Great food, lovely eclectic nostalgic atmosphere ???? a childhood friend who now lives in the southwest FL area said this place was a must for my sister & I, bonus that our hubbies enjoyed too. Our Bubbles Camp Counselor (waitress) was pleasant and quick witted in a good clever way. Eye candy everywhere including the beautifully designed menu.
When in Captiva, this is the place everyone will recommend you go for dessert. Don't be confused, the Bubble Room is the restaurant next door. This review is for the dessert shop, Boops by Bubble Room next door.
We tried:

I'm not a big fan of cake and this is definitely some of the best I've had. The orange tang flavor was pretty intense, but I loved the brown sugar crunch in the middle. The tropical breeze was light and refreshing. I loved all the fruit. Between the two, it was my preference even though I enjoyed both.
One slice of cake is huge and way too much for one person. Even if you're hungry, I got tired of it after a while and opted to save it for the next day. I'd recommend sharing.
If you're in Captiva and/or Sanibel, make sure to check them out!
This is a quirky place with lots of cool things to look at. The food however is even more impressive. Everything we had was great, the only problem is trying to figure out which slice of cake to order.
I think this was by far THE COOLEST place I have ever ate it! I had a bacon cheeseburger and some ribbon fries as I call them. The food was great. Our waitress was awesome, but all of the old eccentric toys, and old black and white pictures of movie stars was FREAKING AWESOME!!!!! I live in Illinois and I hope to visit again!
Very eccentric venue! Had been told about this place and it was worth the 2 and half hour drive just to see it! We did of course have lunch and cake (plus takeaway cake too!) The main menu is varied, we shared the moons between 5 as an appetiser - delicious and naughty! We all enjoyed our mains - I had the shrimp pineapple rice combo and it was so good! The cakes are absolutely HUGE but all tasted amazing! Couldn't leave without visiting the gift shop across the road to purchase a 'cake menu' t-shirt! Brilliant fun.
