Best WLM Reviews
The burgers were great, the rosemary shoestring fries also! Very busy when we got there at 1:30pm, but service was attentive, and as the lunch crowd disappeared, the owner chatted with us. The town is historic, a mining area. The inside of the building is... old brick! Enjoyed our lunch a lot in "Cicely Alaska"
What can I say about the Brick? It is the quintessential, old school saloon - it has everything one could wish for and in a classic setting!
Great atmosphere, food is excellent, drinks menu amazing and everything to the best quality. Pool tables and sports on TV if you want it, comfortable place for drinks and/or food (including a quieter, set-off restaurant area), and a great view from the front over the town's main streets. Fancy live music? There's that too, on the weekends!
The staff are friendly, super efficient, and all around brilliant! Special shout out to Scotty, Franny, and Matty in particular - we frequented the establishment for a few days in a row and they were just fantastic! Made our stay in town truly pleasant and memorable.
I came in because I heard the burgers were good... and I think this may have actually been the best burger I've ever had!!! The Brick Burger: Jalepeno, provolone, applewood smoked bacon, and avocado with lettuce, pickles, and a slice of onion. Simply fantastic! I upgraded the fries to onion rings, which were perfectly crispy without being overcooked. I matched it with an ice tea and the super-friendly staff really topped off an excellent lunch. I will absolutely be back and am already looking forward to it!
Had the brisket quesadilla, not bad. Drinks were really good, and the service was too notch. Great place to people watch as there are all demographics represented. It's in Roslyn, and what's not too like about that?
We came to the Brick because we were in Seattle visiting family. We thought, hey, let's go to Cicily Alaska! We love Northern Exposure. There was no way to resist coming to see the town. My only disappointment is that The Brick didn't have any shirts with "I Hit The Brick" on them.
We had a great time. The place was great, the food was delicious and the staff was friendly but a little slow. But that is to be expected in the dinner hour.
I had dinner break at Roslyn at The Brick Saloon and it exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was lit and service here is fantastic. We were confused about which drinks to try so the waiter gave us some sample draft beer. To my wow "Mac and Jack Africa Amber Ale" was really a discovery.
The food here is above average but not what I would call amazing. I ordered a Cicely Chicken Sandwich with an onion ring as a side. Both were very average. My friend had Black Bean Burger with waffle fries. The burger was very good, but the fries were oily. But given such a small town, this place really shines.
We spent several hours in The Brick while watching UW and The Kraken. Long enough to have 2 meals! Jamie was our server/bartender/all-around awesome human and she was fabulous. Hats off, Brick. You made us feel right at home and we appreciate it.
