The Boat House is a Johnston staple and I am happy it’s my hometown bar. The bar is always full of locals and it’s always a good time. Also, the prices are very reasonable. If you haven’t been to the Boat House, swing by, get a drink and take a quick mirror selfie to let people know you’re supporting a Johnston staple.
Stopped in for a drink after a 10 mile hike. Very cool bar. No food confirmed. Patrons and bartender banter is really funny and cool too. I would most definitely go again next time I'm in the area.
Perfect little place to be close to home ????love the atmosphere and they have a great bartender who works Sunday and Monday evenings super friendly I love the place. Clean and I like the big tv behind the bar there’s always something good to watch and usually a nice person to visit with! Thank you boathouse!! I recommend this place for sure!
Nicki B is the Best bartender Ever!!! When she is there the service is impeccable. They have whiskey Wednesdays when ANY whiskey is 4$ and they have a really good selection just nothing super fancy but have all the classics including my makers!!!
Looking at the outside, it'd exactly what you'd expect on the inside.
Fun place to go for a drink and tasty appetizers. Owner/bartender was A-1 top notch. She spent alot of time with us. A very likeable soul for sure. We will definitely go back again and again.

Always met with a great welcoming along with free popcorn. Only down fall is no food other than frozen pizza. Stop by and check it out!
This place has been a great local landmark but has opted to push free speech positions over support of its business and community. They have a right to do this to a large extent but the comments and signs were pretty extreme and impossible to avoid. It harms the feel for customers for sure. Everyone has a choice and they have gone away from thinking of the customer.
