My wife and I can’t say enough good things about this establishment. We hosted our ceremony and reception at the boat house ten years ago. It was a seamless night, they took care of everything. We still get compliments for having such a great view during the reception. We visited every year on our anniversary for a delicious dinner. I would mention we married here and the manager always took great care of us. A few years back the restaurant closed and we haven’t been able to visit. For our tenth anniversary he helped me make it a night my wife wouldn’t forget with a private dinner for two. Great food, great view, and great management.
Great river view of Downtown columbus with ample parking spots, conferencing area. The food was good. Customer service is good and courteous. Great bar for events and gathering for work or friends.
Great food and great atmosphere. The staff was very accommodating. I would highly recommend this restaurant for your next celebration. I had my Mom's 85th birthday party with about 30 guests. Its been a long time since I have experienced this kind of service. 5 stars for sure
I made reservations although I don't think we needed them. The restaurant wasn't crowded being a Wednesday. It worked out well though. Our server was very attentive as well as knowledgeable about the menu. The food was excellent. The Gouda Mac n cheese was fantastic. The server was great. It was definitely a positive dining experience and I will probably return. Oh, the few of the rivers is definitely worth it.
My first visit there at an evening event. There were two events that evening. The way the building is laid out there was no conflict between the different groups. The staff was very quick to serve the tables and polite. The facility is very nice including the restrooms.
Went to a association meeting and the atmosphere and service was excellent. The staff was harmonious in their delivery of lunch and made sure plates were taken promptly. One small critique just to be picky would be that there was one set of sconces on the wall that were not lit up and a few of the chairs at our table were inches smaller than the rest. Everything was prepared and tasted great!
Going there for 614 Restaurant Week and I am very pleased with the overall experience and ESPECIALLY the food. Oh dear goodness, the food was delicious - not one of us [of 4] had a negative thing to say about our dishes! Our primary server seemed very stressed [and with not that many people in the restaurant....maybe she was fresh out of orientation? I mean, who hasnt been in those shoes before?!?!] but our food was served hot and the manager, William, was attentive and engaging. I love it when people are proud of the foodx history of their restaurant, and are willing to share information! He told us about the history of the damning of the river and how now, there's a significant variety of wildlife because the dams were taken down along with the origins of the restaurant itself. All very satisfying and not just hype...while there, we saw a heron and a bald eagle!!! I have zero doubt we would have seen more if we hadn't been engrossed in conversation ;-)
Overall, this will be one of my go-to recommendations for people who want QUALITY food and a great environment!
We had my son's wedding there recently. The roomwas beautiful. The food was excellent and so.was the service. And Edward was so helpful with the planning and keeping things organized on "the day". We didn't even need a wedding planner. We had both the wedding and reception there. This is no longer a restaurant- now a special events venue. I would highly recommend this for a corporate event or wedding. And the view if the downtown Columbus lights at night made a perfect backdrop!
