Great friendly staff very cozy. A hidden gem in an otherwise cold rough place.
My wife and I were in on Good Friday and we did not expect fast service because it was a bit busy. We sat down and we were greeted after about 10 minutes. The waitress got her coffee and some water, and took our order which we were ready to give right away and she was ready to take. As we sat down a table that I held the door for coming in got seated just after us. They got their food and ate and left before we got ours. I watched another table of people come and sit down and do the same. I got up calmly to find out what was going on, and the waitress, then went into the kitchen, looking slightly, flustered, and returned with our plates . The food was cold and felt as it had been sitting for a while. The manager was going to give us a discount on the food or make us some more but we were in a hurry and I wasn’t sure how long it would take them to make it anyway.
I did ask if they were just Comp the breakfast to us, But she refused and said she’ll just take the plates and take it off the bill.
As the Manager walked away. She looked at my wife and I and said the plates are still warm. My wife and I just looked at each other and shook our heads, and I decided to hold my tongue. It was Good Friday after all.
This is a nice little breakfast diner/café. I had a good experience here. The service was nice, nothing over the top. I was disappointed they didn't have eggs benedict on the menu. I ordered the sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on wheat, it was good but I would have preferred a bagel or croissant, they only offer toast. The atmosphere is that of a typical diner/café. It was clean and cozy.
Coffee is a bit weak.
The omelet was the only thing good, but not great. The hash browns had no flavor really missing seasoning, unlike the hash browns, the corned beef hash was so oversalted it was inedible and the pancakes were just downright disgusting. On a positive note employees were great. It was my first time trying Bluebird and sadly I will not be back.
Your typical small time breakfast place for good food at a good value and service with a smile. I love their hungry man breakfast! Many restaurants won’t do poached eggs anymore, but this one will! They are very accommodating with making changes. On weekends you often have to wait but never too long, as they are quick bringing food out. Once seated they don’t really hurry you either.
I appreciate this place exists. Adorable decorations. Very inviting from the moment you walk in. Wait staff was friendly.
The menu was lie a magazine. They could easily remove over 40 selections. The menu was 5 -6 pages and they were packed! When the food arrived is wasn't very hot. They reheated it for me :)
It was okay. I really believe if they just reduced the menu, they could focus more on quality. But it was NOT bad, just, meh. But the environment....just comforting. I would reccomend going.
Good food for a good price! Pancakes were really yummy! I forgot to take the picture before I cut up the pancake for the little one ???? ????.
I ordered 3 eggs, added spinach and feta, hash browns, crispy, added onions, and toast. The toast was cold and it cost just under $20…there’s no way that was correct. The lady that took my order sounded mad I was calling in a carry out order 15 minutes after they opened so she really ran me up instead of doing the pricing like it should have been. I’ve been complaining about it for the last week and telling everyone how bad the place is. There’s no way that breakfast should have cost $25! (I tip 25% regardless of service and or taste).
1/7/2024… The issue has now been resolved. Although this restaurant is not for me, they did make things right, and as a consumer, I appreciate that. Thank you
