We traveled to VT for a wedding. We asked around for a good breakfast joint. Birdseye did not disappoint. The waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. The food was delicious. The place was super cute. I had a Philly omelette that has cream cheese in it. Soooo good.
The atmosphere is perfect. Unfortunately the food was a let down. No non dairy options for coffees creamer. It’s ok , I bring my own now. The home fries should be called fries! They are deep fried and undercooked! There was also no seasoning on the potatoes. My wife’s eggs were ordered over easy. They came with visible uncooked whites.They promptly cooked more. Only this time they were overcooked. I love a good diner! Unfortunately I didn’t feel any love in the food. My daughter had the pancakes! They were delicious with the real VT Maple syrup. I will try it again if I’m in the area!
We walked in and were told to sit anywhere we like, we asked if it was okay if we sat outside and we're told yes. We sat down and waited 20 minutes for someone to come out, our server came out and was very friendly and polite. She took our drink order and told us she'd be right back with those and some menus , another 10 minutes later and we finally got those. We then sat there for 20 minutes waiting for our order to be taken which never happened. I put some money down on the table to cover our iced tea and the water that we ordered. And then we left. In total we waited 50 minutes. I am totally patient and completely understanding when the facility is busy, however 50 minutes without even being able to place an order is unacceptable
We visited last week on our way to Whitehall in New York. It was a little bit odd to enter the back door in my wheelchair, with some obstructions in the way, but the food and the service was great. If I had any problem with the food at all it was that the gravy with the biscuits was rather bland. But the rest was great and my friend really loved the onion rings without breading and the sweet potato fries. I'm always a big fan of biscuits and gravy so I hope they will improve that. I will be back in a few weeks.
The perfect good ol fashion diner! Went for breakfast, food was GREAT! A very good cup of coffee! Waitress was engaging and friendly. Definitely want to go back for lunch or dinner. Was very easy to park and get seated.
Good food, AMAZING atmosphere, and extremely fast service
Service was good with a decent atmosphere to eat a meal but the food was below average. I got pancakes that were not cooked fully & they need more of a selection of maple syrup. I would still eat there again. They have good desserts & excellent milk shakes.
Corn beef and cabbage were terrible. Meat wasn’t cooked long enough, cabbage was like warm. Waitress offered a new choice so I ordered bacon cheese burger and fries. Burger meat was chunky and greasy and French fries were refried and could not eat them. Never going back. Had been there for breakfast and it was decent. Waitress was fine.
