The best French toast trio in Reading☺️
Nos encantan!!
Huevos rancheros súper yumi and spicy???? and morning quesadilla????
If you like long greasy hair in your food and being accused of putting it there even though it is cooked into the food than this is your place! Never going back and would never let anyone I love eat there, also had ex employees tell me about how dirty this place is. Stay away!
Absolutely wonderful find on our business trip. Best peach sangria slushy I've ever had. Special of the day, Beef Goulash was perfectly seasoned and beef and noodles were very tender. Husband's Cobb Salad was huge with lots of ingredients and grilled chicken and looked delicious. Very very friendly staff and excellent service. Wonderful home cooked items on menu. Highly recommend and sorry we don't live closer.
Easily the worst dining experience my boyfriend and I have had in awhile, maybe even ever. The entirety of our visit was terrible, start to finish. My coffee and water did not come until AFTER my food was served, which the waitress made a joke about. My boyfriend’s cream chipped beef had no flavor, and resembled warm goop. Also, pancakes were cold. When we let our waitress know that we were unhappy, it took her 15 minutes to get the check corrected and did not bring out the manager to speak with us. Then, when paying for the portion of our meal that was not taken off of the check, and hostess swiped my boyfriend’s card and told him it was declined. It turned out she was not using the system correctly, and had to swipe his card three more times before figuring out how to use the register. I have eaten here in the past for dinner and it was a decent experience, but I do NOT plan on returning here ever again.
Nice food! It is great for breakfast or lunch or dinner. It is not too expensive either. Which is always nice for how it can be this year in 2024. Nice staff. Very friendly and very knowledgeable about the food they’re serving. I prefer the breakfast over the lunch or dinner, but they’re all very good like I said. very good yes yes.
My wife and I visited yesterday for the first time on our way to grab a few groceries - while driving by, on a whim, we decided to grab brunch and had an interesting experience overall.
Summary of Food:
Bacon and Cheddar Omelette: 9/10
Veggie Omelette: 6/10
Home Fries: 9/10
Hashbrowns: 2/10
Extra Crispy Bacon Side: 1/10
Cream Chipped Beef: 6/10 (minus the strange film on top of it)
The staff at the entryway were nice and very welcoming - we had a few minute wait, not bad for a bit after noon on a Sunday. After we were seated, we met our server who was alright, not very talkative, but asked the necessary questions. We both got the raspberry sweet tea which was AMAZING! For our meals I ordered a bacon and cheddar omelette with extra-crispy bacon, and a side of hashbrowns with white toast, with additional side of extra crispy bacon and cream chipped beef so we could try out their menu. My wife ordered an omelette with a few veggies and cheese, along with a side of home fries and cream chipped beef.
It took 35-40 minutes for the food to come out, which was strange because it wasn’t overly busy, but at least the food was freshly made. When our food did arrive, it came with mixed opinions. My omelette was cooked perfectly, unfortunately the “hash browns” (listed for $4.99 on the menu, and pluralized as hash-browns) were literally a singular hash brown like they serve at McDonalds - very underwhelming compared to the pile of home fries my wife got, which were plentiful and delicious (and only sold at $3.99 on the menu…), also my side of extra crispy bacon was covered in tons of grease and quite far from being crispy, much less extra crispy. We both got the cream chipped beef, which was alright minus the strange film on the top. The toast was toast – no complaints there, it was tasty.
On a non-food note, feedback on the cleanliness of the women’s restroom - my wife told me that that was the single worst experience that she has ever had in a public restroom, even worse than a porta potty - there were 3 stalls, 2 of which had signs noting “DO NOT USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”, and she said that there must have been some sort of backup or issue because she was gagging from the smell inside the entire time. Things happen, we get that, but she said it was a really harsh way to end our first visit to this establishment.
We aren’t sure if we’ll go back again, but maybe one day. I’d definitely recommend giving it at least a try or two if you’re curious – if you do, try the raspberry tea, home fries, and toast! Hopefully your experience is better than ours.
Also, a side note, your back exits (presumably leading out from the kitchen) are blocked off by picnic tables that are pushed against the doors. I’d imagine this is a safety and fire hazard for patrons and your staff.
The service was horrible. I ordered breakfast that came with homefries and toast. Everything came out separate, to the point where I told the waitress to take it off the bill. She hands me the bill with my home fries and toast. That was after everyone at my table ate. Needless to say, another place to cross off the list.
The place is undergoing renovations.
The menu has certainly been reduced from what it always was.
The quality of the food wasn't great.
The waitress was friendly.
There was no bakery items, when asked where they were they said oh, they haven't come in yet.
But in reality All the bakery display cases were all cleaned out and lights off.
The place was Not crowded at 10am and one does not need to wonder why.
