Best WLM Reviews
We had crab cakes. Oysters and shrimp as appetizer and they all were good. Never had oysters that taste so good. I got chicken and waffles in once you taste the waffles you will see that you don’t need syrup. It was so good. My sister had Cajun fried rice with lobster and shrimp which was also good but had a kick of spice to it. Jordan was an amazing server. I love his personality. We will definitely be back. I’ve never been somewhere where everything I ordered was perfect.
Shrimp & Grits needed salt & more flavor. They were okay. The spinach dip was not good. It was thick and stiff. Also it was cold when they brought it out. I like the vibe and the service was great. But the food, not something I’d return for, nor is memorable.
We stopped here on our way back home from our trip in Orlando. Listen….. this place is fire. The food is so good and you get a huge portion. On top of that it didn’t break our pockets. Their drinks looked really good but I didn’t order any only because I already was slightly hung over. Our server Tracy was the greatest. She was so helpful and patient with us. Her smile and energy made the experience the best. I give this place a 20/10. We only live 45 minutes away and will definitely be back soon!!!!! Definitely come here!!!!
Best New Orlean’s style restaurant in Central Florida!! Every meal we had was absolutely phenomenal!! Tons of flavor, great spice level, the food came out fresh! I missed a photo of our gator and oysters but they are a must have!! Trust me you will NOT be disappointed!! Our servers Jordan & Tatiana were amazing, please ask for them!! I cannot wait to go back!!
We came to The Bayou for the first time for a late brunch / early dinner and, we were blown away by the food! So far, the best New Orleans food that we have had in Florida. The flavors were just delicious, the portions very satisfying, and the drinks hit the right spot. The staff were also super friendly and diligent. The atmosphere is lively and, it feels like a place to have a good time. We will definitely come back for the dinner service.
Wow where do I start.. with the superb gumbo or the fried Alligator or my wife's Jambalaya or her fried catfish or my Mac and Cheese with lobster and shrimp or my fried okra. Oh yes and the beignets still hot with all that flakiness and powdered sugar. Yes we ate all this. This place is New Orleans in Florida. Absolutely not only the best New Orleans inspired food but simply put, one of thr best restaurants i have been too in a long time. Yes I said it. The best restaurant I have been too in I can't remember when. Kudos to the owner, the chef, and our waiter Eddie. The service was impeccable. The hottest restaurant around. See you there. I will be back.
My husband and I visited The Bayou Kitchen and Lounge on Sunday afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Sometimes when the atmosphere and the people are great we'll come back to a restaurant even if the food isn't all that. However, on this occasion, the food was just the icing on the cake. My husband really enjoyed the shrimp and ended up ordering a second serving. He also had red beans and rice and the jambalaya. Of course, he had to bring some home since he wanted to try different things. It was all very good. I had the jambalaya with pasta, which I never had, and it ended up being very tasty. We also had the key lime pie, which was from a local bakery and very good and unique. The staff was so exceptionally nice. The chef sat down with us to receive some compliments from my husband. The waitress was very accommodating and friendly. As well as the other waitress who wasn't even waiting on us. It was a nice Sunday afternoon.
Update 3/2024: we just visited again. The onion rings are the best we have had in Orlando! Also, our server was very sweet.
I met a friend for dinner and since she had a good experience decided to give it a try.
It sure did not disappoint! The restaurant is open and nicely decorated with plenty of seating. The service was okay, it could had been a bit better.
As for the food, it was good. We ordered the Cajun Dip, Bayou Lobster Mac eith Chicken (it was alright), Salmon (delicious), and wrapped it up with Beignets.
It sure was tasty and we will keep it in mind for future visits.
