We drove in from Chicago to do some shopping in the area and came across this little gem. Outstanding food!
We had the lunch special catfish sandwich with fries. The Catfish was well seasoned and had a nice, crisp cornmeal crust. Fries had good seasonings and were fresh and hot. Generous portion on both the fries and the fish. $7. You can’t get that price at McD’s!
We also shared the brisket dinner and chose Mac and cheese and the cabbage as the sides. Brisket was out of this world tender, nice hit of smoke, bbq sauce had a good kick to it. I could eat that Mac and cheese every day for the rest of my life, it was so good! And the cabbage had good seasonings and nice big hunks of pork. For $14, it was a steal.
Staff and owner were very friendly and really seemed to care if we were happy with the food. You can tell they take pride in their restaurant, as they should.
Theres Counter service with a picnic table outside. They plan on expanding the patio to include more seating this summer.
10/10 highly recommend! We will make it a point to stop here again.
No frills carry out only BBQ spot with absolutely delicious food. Staff are extremely friendly. Call ahead to have your order ready when you arrive. Lunch specials at excellent prices. Will be back soon!
Food was delicious! Best philly I've had from a small place, the bun was soft, meat was delicious and covered in cheesy goodness! Kids had the chicken tenders and they were huge! Only regret is splitting my sandwich with my sister, but the portions were so big I couldn't possibly finish it myself. Good place. Glad we tried it.
Food was AMAZING!! We went back 2 days in a row on our vacation just for their pulled pork sandwich (best I’ve ever had) Service was excellent as well. Will definitely be coming back on our next vacation (if we don’t go back again before we head home)!
The food is very good. Jermaine is great. Friendly staff/owners. Philly steak was a 10/10 and the rib tips were delicious.
