Best WLM Reviews
We went here for St Patrick's Day and it did not disappoint. In fact we loved it because it wasn't as crowded as we were afraid it was going to be, but it definitely was alive and happening. Great service and great down to earth atmosphere.
My only major complaint was they did not take credit cards. I get they want to keep the cost down, but considering the drinks were so inexpensive, just bump the price up $1 to make even more money. We were having so much fun, but we had to leave because we ran out of cash. Had they taken credit cards, The extra cocktails we would have ordered would have easily made up for the cost of plastic.
But definitely loved the place!
This place did such a great job with us. Post-reception they let us take the entire outdoor area in the back. We were also demanding at the bar and they handled us well. There was I believe another post-reception party that was pretty annoying and the bar still did a great, great job. The drinks are standard local bar fare with some good local stuff.
Good, old fashioned bar if you just want to have a drink and kick back. One small thing, it's a cash-only establishment
Didn't eat there so can't rate it but I had a very nice evening in their very clean establishment.
Their karaoke night is obnoxious. Extremely loud for such a small space, you can't carry on a conversation with friends.
I love neighborhood and bars everybody was friendly. The partners were good had a great time I’ve been there many many times.❤️
Was brought here by friends under the description of a dive bar; however, it's just a normal bar. Bartenders are friendly, but severely limited on liquor & mixology skills & knowledge. Severely, as in don't ask what types of liquor they have, don't ask what the difference is between them, and don't even think about ordering a drink unless the two ingredients are in the name (i.e. Rum & Coke, and you will most likely have to point out the rum).
There's a DJ setup in the back, for what I have no idea. It's just a mock set of turn tables, as the music that is played is just stock tracks from the 70's and 80s. There's absolutely no need for a DJ, especially given the tiny size of the bar. Decor is kitchy, and mismatched.
If you're looking just to have fun with friends, and have zero expectations or hopes of going to a memorable place, then the Bank is the spot for you.
So this is for sure of my favorite neighborhood bar in the South Bay. The Bank is always a great place to get a pint or a whiskey. Irish pub through and through. Great location and ambiance. You definitely feel like you're in Ireland. Cool bartenders and unique decor. Give this place a try. You'll be glad you did.
