Best WLM Reviews
Positives:
Bed felt clean and was comfortable
Pet friendly, with non-carpeted floors
Friendly valet staff
Negatives:
Check in was off-putting — hardly any words exchanged except for “put your credit card in the machine”. The room was very shabby, and felt dirty. The velvet upholstered chair in the room had all kinds of white residue on the seat. The power strips next to the bed were caked in grime. The bathroom shower curtain smelled very bad; the bathroom just didn’t feel clean. There were stains and residue on all the surfaces. Air vents in the room and bathroom were all clogged with thick dust. Seems like the rooms and halls are in need of a deep clean. I found myself constantly washing my hands after touching anything in the room.
There is a massive discrepancy between the photos, reviews, and the reality of this hotel. I was surprised when I saw the room, because the Google reviews were good. I revisited them to try and understand where I went wrong, and upon closer reading, it seems the reviews are fake. If you sort by lowest first you get a more accurate picture of what it’s like to stay here.
Since the bed was clean, I wouldn’t mind having stayed here for a MUCH, MUCH lower price (with our dog), but it was $650 total for our two-night stay!
Nice hotel, quiet area. We were very satisfied with our room and the lobby area. The front desk staff is very polite, but Terrence delivered us impeccable customer service. Overly accommodating to all our needs and never missed a beat. The Andrew Hotel is very thankful to have Terrence working here, he makes a huge difference in customer relations of the hotel!
Would definitely comeback!
Terrible Experience at The Andrew Hotel
I recently stayed at The Andrew Hotel, and it was a disaster from start to finish. I chose this hotel because it was close to my surgeon's practice and the hospital where I had an important outpatient surgery on the morning of May 13th, 2024. I needed a quiet place to rest and recover, but that’s not what I got.
First, the noise level was unbearable. There was a wedding engagement party in the banquet hall that went on until 2 AM, even though it was a Monday night. Despite multiple complaints to the front desk, the noise continued, disrupting my sleep and that of my caregiver. It’s unacceptable for such a noisy event to go on so late, especially on a weeknight when guests expect a quiet environment.
The front desk staff was unhelpful and told me they couldn’t contact the restaurant owner hosting the event. This is ridiculous, given that the hotel’s website states the restaurant and banquet hall are integral parts of the hotel. This lack of communication and authority shows poor management and a disregard for guests' needs.
Adding to the frustration, I had specifically requested an ADA room due to my medical condition, but this request was ignored. This shows a blatant disregard for guests with accessibility needs.
The hotel’s website also advertises 24-hour concierge service, but when I tried to contact the front desk several times, no one answered. When I finally did get through and asked for some toilet paper, I was told I had to come down to the front desk to get it. In my condition, this was extremely difficult and inconvenient.
To top it all off, my check-out experience was just as frustrating. When I explained my situation, the front desk clerk asked why we hadn't been offered a different room away from the noise. This was a ridiculous question as I wouldn't have known that was an option, and it wouldn’t have helped given my physical state. The clerk offered to credit me for the night but ended up charging me instead.
Overall, my stay at The Andrew Hotel was plagued by noise, unhelpful staff, ignored requests, and misleading advertising. I expected a peaceful environment to recover from surgery, but what I got was the complete opposite. I cannot recommend this hotel and urge others to look elsewhere.
When I come into a hotel, the front desk is the first indication that the hotel is in good hands. Terrence at the customer service desk is truly a reflection of the way the hotel operates and how the staff treats their guests. We were treated with care and extreme accommodations for all our needs. We will be coming back to this hotel solely based off Terrence’s customer service.
Rooms were also well maintained, well-lit, good variety of soaps and shampoos in the bathroom. Amazing hotel all around!
I recently stayed at The Andrew Hotel in New York, and it was an extremely disappointing experience. This hotel is run down and dirty, far from the four-star rating it claims to have. The chairs in my room were stained, and the room itself was falling apart. The free breakfast was a joke – the selection was minimal and the quality was poor.
I am baffled by the good reviews this hotel has received. They must be fake because there is no way this hotel deserves more than two stars. There is no gym, no pool, and no parking for guests who drive. To make matters worse, the hallways smelled like urine, making the stay even more unpleasant.
The only positive aspect of this hotel is the cheap price, but even that does not make up for the numerous issues. I do not recommend anyone staying here. Save your money and book elsewhere.
Willie, Veronica
Staying at this hotel was an absolute pleasure from start to finish! The hospitality provided by Willie and Veronica was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. Their warm welcomes, attention to detail, and willingness to assist with any request made us feel right at home. The rooms were impeccably clean and well-appointed, offering a cozy retreat after a day of exploring. The hotel's amenities were top-notch, and the location couldn't have been better. We can't wait to return and experience the outstanding service provided by Willie and Veronica again. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a delightful stay!
I really enjoyed my stay at the Andrew. Fantastic friendly staff and great location. I love how convenient the hotel is in a quiet neighborhood with many stores and restaurants. My room was spacious with an amazingly comfortable bed. I was recommended to stay here by a friend who stated the rooms are always high quality. I appreciate the help from Brian and I enjoyed my time there and will definitely come back and recommend to others.
Rooms were clean, smells nice, and lobby was bright and clean. Terrence at the front desk was so nice and police. Dude was just so helpful as we were exhausted from our trip here from DC. So personal thanks to Terrence and overall we’re very happy!
