It's a cozy little place I went to for my Dad's 71st birthday because it's his favorite place to eat. We appreciate they took reservations for our party of 10. The wait staff was very nice and the food was pretty good for a tavern. Unfortunately that night the kitchen wasn't ready for a party of 10 that turned into 8. Our food took forever and when it came out some dishes were cold. The server did say they were short staffed in the kitchen but even my Dad was a little disappointed in his meal and apologized for choosing the Tavern. On a positive note, upon request, they were able to muster up a gorgeous lava cake surrounded in whip creme for my Dad's surprise. He loved it! I will give the place a second chance. It has tons of potential and the staff is real cool. When I go back I'm positive I'll be giving this place 5 stars.
Good food and good service, at very reasonable prices.
The building feels homey and has got a comfortable and atmosphere.
The salad was fresh and had nice vegetables in, the grilled haddock and the 8oz sirloin both came out in good time, and were perfectly cooked.
The table service was great, the waitress (Amber) was attentive, friendly and very efficient.
What more could you ask for?
Highly recommended.
We went to check out the golf course for the family to play and decided to have lunch in the Tavern. Our server was great. Very friendly. They have some great specials. The restaurant is neat. Looks like it could be a fun place. The food was real good. When we play the course we already plan to stop in the Abbey Tavern
Have not ever been there before this experience. We went for a burger, they were out of beef, our second choice they were out of as well. We all compromised and ordered something else. It took well over an hour to get our food. It was not all that good either, then it took quite some time to get our server to bring our bill. The place is in need of a really good cleaning as well. I wanted to like it, but couldn't and I don't intend on returning.
Had lunch here today for the first time. Was not aware that this was at the golf course, no big deal though, was just confusing at first.
Had the chicken fingers and steak fries. Both were good and to my delight, the chicken fingers weren't frozen and were hand battered and the fried breast meat. Fries were thick and tasted great.
The staff helping me at the bar were great and all had smiles on their faces. Will go back again if I am in the area during meal time.
Surprisingly wonderful. Drove into the parking lot and thought to myself, "this could be a mistake." Walking in, the interior didn't help to change my mind. Bianca, our server, however, quickly changed everything. She was friendly, professional and right on target. The food was delicious, the portions very fair and the prices reasonable. I'll be going back for another meal.
Had a reservation for a party of 10. Also noticed another large party of 15 or so in main dinning area. Appeared as though they didn’t have adequate staff. Took a very long time to get our drinks. Salads were served to those that ordered and we had finished before soup was brought out. Attempted to get a second drink and waitress curtly said she put the order in. Finally ordered 2 pitchers of beer and never got the other drinks, but was charged for them. Ordered chicken parm. Noodles were cold and 2 orders of the chicken were over cooked and hard to eat. The grouper dinner was overpriced for the small portion. Actually got tired of asking the waitress for things because always got a smart response. Was probably one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve ever had. I never write reviews and rarely complain about service. Hopefully was just an isolated experience.
The food is good when you finally get it. Three of the four of us ordered spaghetti which was one of the nightly specials and the other ordered a pork chop. It took 40 min. to get our food. The restaurant was not busy and the bar was empty. I suspect the problem is with the kitchen staff.
