I really wanted to give the Abbey restaurant a good score being a hometown eatery... sadly NO!! First of all...the music was soo loud we were unable to carry on a conversation with each other OR the server. The atmosphere was more bar like than that of a restaurant!! By the end of our meal I couldn't wait to get out of there!!! For my meal I had the Reuben sandwich with fries. The Reuben sandwich was good but GREASY!! The fries were COVERED in seasoned salt!!! My husband had the Cobb Salad with grilled chicken. Although he never thought he would ever say this... it needed LESS chicken and more salad and the guacamole had no seasoning. It also needed more dressing which he could have gotten for an additional charge!! A sandwich and a salad =$40. We were disappointed with our overall experience of eating at The Abbey!!
Fast and friendly service. Fresh, hot and delicious food. Great prices!
I would recommend the bbq wings, cowboy burger, fried banana peppers or the fried pickles. Chicken tenders are tasty. The house made chips are good but salty. Go give it a try! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Go see H E A T H E R B. at The Abbey in London Ky. She is the best server in the Tri-County area. ????????
100% recommend. Great service and food, fair prices and the homemade peanut butter pie was to die for. It was gone before I got to take picture. Well definitely be back. Thank you Heather.
Traveling from Ohio to Tennessee and decided to go off path and try The Abbey. Best detour we have taken.
Service exceptional , Jeff was awesome helped answer questions and gave recommendations.
The food is quality and well presented and taste was spot on. Best compliments to the Chef.
The environment is clean and typical of a downtown eatery.
Restrooms as well are clean.
We dined at 12:30(lunch) I would bring children during this time. Can’t say what evening crowd would be like as there is a bar.
We had the Abbey Burger with onion straws and Catfish Sandwich and potato salad.
Can not go wrong.
Prices are reasonable.
Hope you give them a try.
I love getting lunch and dinner here with my mom. I’m so glad this restaurant has stayed open in London. The food is excellent and the location cannot be beat! I definitely recommend the Philly. Sampler platter is an excellent starter with bacon potato skins, chicken tenders, and mozzarella sticks (with marinara sauce, honey mustard, and ranch for dipping). This last time I noticed that the Waldorf salad had been removed from the menu, but it would be great if they brought it back! Super fresh with craisins and walnuts with chicken bits mixed in and house sauce/vinaigrette. The Abbey is a one-stop shop for all your cravings (including beer!)
BIPOC solo diner, seated immediately, greeted and served by multiple staff. The menu offers mostly American cuisine. Try the fried green tomatoes; you won't be disappointed. Most entrees come with two sides. I ordered the pokchops. The pork chops were very meaty and fried to absolute perfection. However, the seasoning was too salty for my tastes. I was mildly dissatisfied with the sautéed mushrooms. What I thought I would get (whole baby button) and what I received (sliced and overcooked) were two different things. The baked potato was standard, no complaints. All and all the experience was pleasant, and I would come again.
Ordered the fried green tomatoes, steak philly sandwich with french fries, veggie black bean burger with extra fresh toppings & sweet potato fries, side salads, and a secret recipe peanut butter pie. All was tasty, hot and seasoned well.
Relaxed, casual environment with decor that pleases both the bar-attendee or the family dinner night. Clean restrooms and exceptional service.
Food so dang good I didn't even get to take pictures of it. I definitely recommend the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. The service there was completely stellar. Absolutely a necessary stop.
