I usually get the pad Thai medium spicy but decided to try the pad se ew medium spicy. Flavor is good, not too salty, but I wish it was a bit spicier so I'd opt for more spicy next time. They put a lot of chicken in the noodles! Quick service and they have a few tables to dine in.
A small, casual, authentic Thai eatery where you order at the counter, and food is served in takeout containers, whether you dine in or take out. I don't mind the presentation as I'm here for the taste. We had two items with rice: Tamarind fish and Spicy Basil chicken with rice, and Tamarind fish and Yellow chicken curry with rice. I always ask for extra curry sauce over rice to add another flavor burst. It's so yummy! They also cater to vegetarians. Their Basil fried rice, Pad Thai, and Pad Kee Mow are amazing and made to order, with the option to request your preferred level of spiciness.
If you are in a hurry, call ahead and place your order. They can get busy during lunch or dinner time, but their service is always fast and friendly.
This is the Panda Express for Thai food
It’s a self serve restaurant , there are tables and chairs inside if you like to eat inside BUT primarily a ToGo place.
The food is served in ToGo Boxes
You can get
1 Curry + Rice OR
2 Curries + Rice
There are good vegetarian options
Apart from that they have custom Noodles like Pad Thai orders too.
Food was excellent . Liked it very much
Ambience is average , tables and chairs for you to eat , ToGo box , paper towels and plastic spoons.
Service : Self Service (Pickup and throwing away of ur finished box)
Prices are reasonable. The 2 Curries + Rice can be super filling for 1 person on a hungry day. Else I think portion size will be good enough for two people with one additional starter I guess.
Very disappointed with the food and lack of enthusiastic service.
Food: tastes like normal white people food - no explosive or unique flavors. The veggies in my green curry were overcooked and mushy and tamarind fish was not hot and crunchy and tasted like your usual sweet and sour chicken sauce.
Servive: asked for spice after my order and was asked for either dried pepper (looks like the packages you get at pizza joints) or garlic pepper (the bright red ones with seeds you see vietnamese people eat). When asked which one is spicier the old lady said she doesn't know (ohhhhkay... you serious?!) and handed me both. Either way, neither were even remotely close to medium spicy. At that point I didn't even wonna ask if they had legit fresh peppers I can have.
Such a shame for a place that's family owned and prides itself on freshly made with no msg.
I won't be back to this place but I could suggest a good alternative in SSJ called Thai Grata. Now, I only had the Pad See Ew there but spicy was def SPICY!!! And food tasted fresher and hot too. Only drawback is they are a bit more expensive at around $19+

One of a best Thai food in the area. It’s style is more of a homemade flavor, not like many others Thai food are heavy and oily. If you enjoy lighter Thai food but still taste good with reasonable price I would highly recommend this restaurant. I’ve been keep revisit this restaurant almost once a week after I discovered this Thai food early January. I tried to order different dishes to try as many as I could. Personally I like the 2 items with rice combo that they provide almost 10 dishes you can pick two of them depend on your preference and rice. If you plan to order fried rice or pad Thai I would recommend order thru phone because it takes time to make, then you don’t have to wait too long in the store as the peak time often times crowded.
Bravo to the front desk lady, she wears earphone takes phone order and in store, and package food and checkout, please be patient to be served as she is very busy.
Thumbs up if it’s helpful;)
Best Thai Fast Food Restaurant in South San Jose. Been going here for the 9 years or so. Family owned authentic Thai restaurant. Really no wait and also quick pickup when you order over the phone. We eat here 3/4 times a month. Highly recommend!
I’ve been coming here for the past few years, great Thai food! Very easy takeout option but also good quality food. All of their curries are displayed but rice and noodle items are made to order. COVID wise: they have 2 lines to order, one for phone pickup (which I recommend) and one for in person order which goes pretty fast.
Highly recommend spicy basil fried rice and garlic chicken. Their in house Thai tea is also great! Not too sweet but perfectly paired with their food.
Good Thai food in ESSJ. We got takeout and it was super fresh! Would recommend the basil fried rice!
