Absolutely amazing restaurant experience. Mel and Bushi light the place up with personality. The food and flavors are perfection. The level of spice is just right. I absolutely Love IT
Editing this because Mel the owner told me about her own recipe Seafood Hotpot and it blew me away. Absolutely Love IT
Private exclusive Thai restaurant.
Everything is so delicious and fresh!
The pork entree is perfectly crispy, and they have a peanut sauce on the shrimp spring rolls delicious.
Everything is exquisite
The place is super clean and organized.
Super authentic Thai food in Portsmouth near the Naval Hospital, DO NOT BLINK THIS IS THE PLACE! ????
Sunday evening 5 o clock, not sure if it’s because it’s a Sunday or it’s Mother’s Day and you weren’t busy but seriously, 1. Who loads a container like this and closes it 2. Who doesn’t double check if you did this in advance before you put it in a bag 3. Why is it hard and solid? This is the worse Thai we’ve had in this area since moving. Food was to go, Everything was Cold, cashew nut dish had no flavor and tried to cover that up with spice. So disappointing - $65 worth of food and I’d have rather just skipped dinner than eaten this.
We got eggrolls, chicken pad kee mao (drunken noodles), and chicken pad Thai. It was good. I've had better Thai food in the area but this place is ok. My mother-in-law LOVED the pad kee mao so, we will come back. And for it to be the only Thai food (yet alone, a limited Asian selection) in area, it is a great choice for Asian food.
Placed an online order on 11/28/23 and ate about half so I decided to take the rest with me to work for lunch the following day. I was almost done eating when I looked down from my computer to see this roach in my food. I immediately spit out whatever I had in my mouth. This is absolutely disgusting. This was my first time trying Thai Basil and I will definitely not be back.
I went for lunch and was very impressed. The hostess/waitress was really friendly and listened to me about what I liked and made an excellent recommendation for me. Drunken noodles with chicken and extra vegetables. I also went with the fresh spring rolls with shrimp and the peanut sauce was amazing, sweet, tangy, and that sneaky heat I love about Thai sauces. Very happy and will go back again for sure with my wife, who is an avid Thai fan
Hubby and I wanted to try something new. Terrible mistake . We knew something was wrong when we walked into an “authentic Thai “ restaurant and we were the only ones in there for one .
For two there was no aroma of food or any aroma at all for that matter . The waitress was pleasant. The food was bland . It tasted like a tv dinner we picked up from dollar general for a quick meal . Watery curry . Shrimpless tempura well it had more coating then shrimp . The crab Rangoon was imitation crab with a horrible sweet sauce cold in the inside crispy outside . The beef lumpia was ok , edible , but not authentic . Honestly the best thing was the Thai tea and my glass of fresh cold water . Always fun to try something new but this is definitely our first and very last .
Very ignorant. I am dark skinned and a different race and I was treated different from the light skinned customers. The owner was very nice and talkative with them. I got ignored and didn’t get the best treatment. I wouldn’t eat here again. Sorry I waste my money. I think the Thai Basil in Virginia Beach is better-way better!!!! I didn’t even get said goodbye when I left. They kiss white and other races butts but not me because I am “unique”
