Best WLM Reviews
Delicious food! Most of the dishes I've tried have been good to excellent. I usually sit at the bar or get takeout (not delivery) and generally don't have any issues. Good little local restaurant that I have made my regular Thai place.
I'm not sure if the waitresses are racist or just plain nasty, particularly a waitress called " Mo." I've sat and watched them take orders from others or juzt stand around chatting while I waited. This has happened on many occasions. The food is good, the drinks are lovely however, the service is questionable at best.
The fried rice was good, small portions. $5 for a regular coffee is a bit expensive compared to the other stuff. I think? The staff seems friendly, not too busy, quick work lunch.
Thai 101 has the perfect, most legitimate Thai food drinks & service. Anything from the food menu, it is golden delicious. This place is almost AS GOOD, as a Thailand restaurant itself. Doubtful? Pls refer to their 101 lunch specials/drink happy hour. <.<
THE MANAGER IS DISGUSTING AND RUDE. IM NOT SURE IF SHE'S NEW. BUT I GAVE A GREAT REVIEW BECAUSE IVE BEEN ORDERING FOR YEARS. BUT TODAY MY ORDER WAS WRONG. I ONLY CALLED IN TO EXPLAIN AND TO SEE IF I COULD HAVE A NEW ORDER PLACED. I DIDN'T EVEN WANT A REFUND. I'M HUNGRY I WANT TO EAT. SHE PROCEEDED TO TELL ME I TALK TOO MUCH MULTIPLE TIMES BECAUSE I WAS EXPLAINING MY ORDER. SHE ASKED ME THE ISSUE THEN BASICALLY SAID BE QUIET BECAUSE SHE FELT I NEEDED TO BE SILENT AS SHE SEARCHED MY ORDER. BUT HOW CAN U SEARCH IF I CANT TALK AND GIVE U MY INFORMATION. NOT SURE IF SHE WAS JUST HELPING BY ANSWERING THE PHONE. BUT SHE SHOULD NEVERRRRRRRRRR EVERRRRRR BE ABLE TO HANDLE CUSTOMER ISSUES. SHE WAS HORRIBLY NASTY OVER THE PHONE
UNACCEPTABLE
I ORDERED SHRIMP NOT SPICY. I GOT THESE WHITE PIECES OF IDK. WHAT ????
I Had a great time at this place. I was almost about to go to that other Thai place on the same block but my Yelp app steered me here! Yelp always comes through. This place was empty, save for an idling server sitting and a guy charging his phone at a table. But I wasn't deterred. It was Sunday before Labor Day. The beach not the concrete jungle of NY had the attention of the masses and understandably so. The weather was perfect. But I was hungry after my haircut and I wanted to eat nearby so I could have a long walk back to subway and get my exercise. I had two mixed drinks (Jungle juice and One Night in Bangkok)here and both of them were expertly crafted. The fried calamari appetizer was nothing special but it was good. The main course. Pineapple fried rice with shrimp was amazing. Rice cooked perfectly as were the shrimp. The portion was enough for leftovers. My server Marissa was very attentive. My water stayed full and my table was cleared frequently. She asked if everything was fine during every visit to my table. I cannot say enough about how delicious the fried rice was. A perfect 100 for Thai 101.
As a neighborhood spot, this place does not disappoint. Many people choose the take- out menu, but I like their lunch options and dined inside.
Very nice neighborhood Thai place. The food was tasty and ready quickly. The Penang curry was nice. The veggies were cut to a reasonable bite size. The Golden fritters were a bit bland.
