Ordered the sashimi appetizer over the phone for takeout on a late Saturday afternoon.
Very efficient and friendly service.
Given the location in a upscale area, I was surprised at the reasonableness of the price and the quality. Also, even though I didn't eat at site, it is a very pleasant intimate environment. If I'm ever in the area I would definitely come here again.
Always the best of times at this sushi spot! I highly recommend the Sushi Boat for two, it is an excellent value and a lot of fun!!
Haven't been to Oni Sushi, on La Salle, in ages and had a delightful and tasty lunch with a dear friend today. Creative sushi and rolls and all super fresh and unique. The service was equally outstanding and the restaurant was steadily full. Small and quieter restaurant environment, and easy to have quiet conversations. So glad to rediscover and will be making it a priority for frequent, return visits in the future. Highly recommended.
I can’t convey how fresh and generous the sushi cuts are. Used chopsticks and tea cup for scale. The fish is really fresh and the sushi rice is cooked perfectly! Staff is also prompt, friendly. I’ll be back again.
Finally, a good neighborhood sashimi spot in the East Bay! Sure we have Kakui and Kotobuki but one's overpriced and the other is average at best. Iyasare's my go-to chirashi don and tempura, but now this is my go-to for sashimi.
We had dinner on a busy Saturday night the newly re-opened TGI Oni Sushi, and loved it so much I came back for lunch on Tuesday (photos from lunch). Fresh sashimi, good sized menu, reasonably priced, friendly staff. We had hamachi sashimi (5 pcs for $15), chawamushi, shishamo, saba shioyaki and complimentary miso soup. Hopefully they'll keep up these standards!
Love this place for sushi. My bf and I come here often. The people are always nice. The sushi delicious. We try something new every time. A must try and you'll always be coming back.
Awesome Sushi place. Amazing service and great atmosphere. If you're in the area its a great place for dinner, and if you're not it's worth the trip.
We loved this sushi place while we were visiting family off of Thornhill in Oakland. The pieces were large and fresh and the variety was great. We will return the next time that we visit family.
