Beautiful shop, with some pretty talented artists. Definitely recommend checking them out for your next piece of art. Adrian is my dude! Thank you for the fantastic work as always. First two pics are mine and the last is my husband’s tattoo.
I wanted to get a tattoo on Sunday and didn't have many options for a last-minute impulse. I did not catch the lady's name, but she was super friendly on the phone and told me they could squeeze me in last minute.
Due to the circumstances, I was advised the tattoo I originally wanted would have to be appointment-booked, but I was not a local and was keen on getting ink. She did advise me another artist should be coming in shortly because he was at "lunch or something". Then they took my name and jotted it down at the end of the list.
I left to visit a store across the street to pass the time and when I returned the other artist was there and I asked him if he could tell me where I stood on the wait list. He politely informed me to give him a minute as he finished what he was doing and then asked what I was planning on getting. I responded by telling him I wrote on the list my original idea, but the lady had advised me she could not do that tattoo today, so he asked to see it. I pulled my phone out and showed him the design and he told me "That is a today tattoo", then I proceeded to get my hopes up because I now thought I was going to get the tattoo I desired.
He proceeded to the back to tattoo the people on the list ahead of me and I sat twiddling my thumbs anxiously. The lady, whom I originally spoke to, finished up her tattoo that she had started when I had first arrived and came out and asked if I was ready to do the small design I had to choose due to her availability. I responded saying the other artist had informed me that he could do the tattoo today. She hesitated and glanced at me funny and restated that the tattoo would have to be appointment-booked. I tried to inform her of the little chat I had with the other artist and proceeded to tell her to ask him.
She leaves to the back and discusses with the other artist behind a curtain where he continues to disregard the conversation we had ever existed. He told her that was not what I told her and "she must have misunderstood me, I NEVER said that"; she returned to relay that information to me.
Tension starts to rise because I know that I did not hallucinate an entire conversation with this guy, but now he acts like the interaction we had never happened, and that he thought I was talking about another day's tattoo.
1. Why would I ask about my position on the walk-in paper if I was asking about another day?
2. He clearly stated "That is a today tattoo, Yeah that can be done today" I asked him multiple times as my hopes rose and he assured me.
3. He denied it and then raised his voice to argue with me across the room leaving me feel unsafe in the environment and feeling like the entire room was against me because it was his word over mine.
Fine, I still wanted to get inked, so I turned to the girl artist and asked her if she could still do the wording I had settled for and then add something to it. She started to deny it and said she could only tattoo the two words on me. "Inhale.Exhale" I asked her how much it would be and she said 100-150, and I said okay so 100? or 150? and she said it was between there and she wouldn't know yet, the shop minimum is 100$. The tattoo took about 20 minutes to complete and I was charged 130$. It is entirely line work as she stated "black saturation will need to be appointment-booked"
Even though I am thankful for the tattoo, the experience was not great. Being informed they could do a tattoo today to wait 5 hours to be yelled at because of a misunderstanding was not the best way to spend my day, followed by begging to get the desired tattoo I wanted, which was an additional line design that took no more than 5minutes to add on.
I settled for a small cute line design that did not take long, and even though I had to beg for an extra feature, she eventually worked with me to achieve a desired tattoo. We did have a good heart-to-heart and apologized for the misunderstanding and tensions I do understand how last minute the tattoo was. I do appreciate getting inked, and the line work is fabulous.
I love the addition to my tattoo from Adrian! I had friends recommend him and he did awesome. I also enjoyed the vibe of the parlor. Thanks Adrian! I’ll definitely be back.
I 1000% recommend (a bonus is, their open on Sundays)!!
Super clean and cute shop, covered in amazing artwork. I’ve interacted with four artists that work there and they were all super pleasant. I’ve had two tattoos by Hunter now, and she’s done an amazing job on both. She made the tattooing experience super easy, moved my stencil several times to make sure it was perfect —and Her work absolutely speaks for itself. I also watched one artist do a really cool snake piece while I got my elbow done, and they have a black and grey artist who was killing a half sleeve. Definitely worth having a piece of art from any of the super talented artists.
Hunter did an amazing job on my son’s first tattoo and then squeezed me in to get one done also! Will definitely be going back!
I had such a great experience here for my first tattoo. The shop is very clean and everyone is so professional. Adrian did an incredible job making my vision come to light and my tattoo healed beautifully. I would definitely recommend them!
Absolutely my favorite Artist in town! Adrian has been a blessing for superior line work, extra sensitive location/placements and overall best attitude to sit with during your session! Super excited about this shop opening and can’t wait to get my other hand inked by Adrian!
There’s just something in the atmosphere here that makes everything warm and calming! Adrian and his team do such a great job at welcoming you in and treating you like family during your session. No intimidation at all. Amazing bedside manner and so many laughs and great conversation! I was able to finish up my piece that Adrian started two years ago, and it’s like no time had passed. He gets down to business but makes sure you’re having a good time along the way! The shop is clean, inviting, and if anyone needs help, someone is always there to lend a hand. Definitely recommend Tezca Tattoo and can’t wait to come back for another piece.
