Starting with the food, the steak had the perfect amount of seasoning and was cooked the exact way i asked for it to be. The salt crusted baked potato was cooked exactly the way it was supposed to be and the bacon green beans were definitely the best around. The server was attentive, polite, very informative, funny, and seemed to really enjoy his job. If I could change anything about my visit I would, for sure, turn the music down a bit. Was difficult to hear my daughter sitting across from me.
We got the fried pickles for an appitizer, and they did not disappoint. Came to the table hot and fresh.
One of the Best Grilled Chicken salads in Portage. The chicken was so tender and juicy. Huge portion. Highly recommend it. Very reasonably priced for all the food you get.
A bit pricey but well worth it.
We had to wait about 30 min. We went on a Sunday about 430-5 . It was packed.
Once we got a text to come in, they had us at a table right away. Just a few moments later a waitress came and got our drink & appetizers order. She brought a basket of rolls with both whipped butter and the whipped cinnamon butter. So good ????
We ordered potato skins and fried jalapeno n cheese bites
It took only about 5 minutes to bring our drinks . sprite, blue crush lemonade and a tall blue moon beer. That's when the waitress took our dinner order.
Hubby had 18oz Porter house steak with mushrooms on side, salad and loaded baked potato

Appetizers came out in about 10-15 minutes. Potato skins were great for the most part , lots of bacon. There were plenty of the " rattlesnake bites"
The atmosphere is fun and the staff are so friendly & all are willing to help customers to make their dining experience wonderful.
A few people had birthdays . the staff would get together and clap as they headed to their table. Then Introducing the birthday person so the whole restaurant could say hi & Happy birthday. The staff encouraged everyone to say " yeehaw" . Granddaughter enjoyed that part.
About 15 minutes after receiving appetizers our dinners came.

Country fried steak is HUGE & tasted fantastic could have used more gravy.
Porterhouse was just as big, very tender. It was excellent along with the loaded baked potato. Neither of us could finish our dinners. Definitely fills you up with lots of leftovers.
We ordered another sprite and blue moon beer. The waitress brought it within a few minutes.
We ordered one of the brownie desserts in order to try it. That was about the only disappointing thing. Brownie was hard at first even with ice cream on top melting. It was thin and very crispy around the edges. One thing we won't order again.
The staff were amazing!! As I said it was packed however they worked well as a team. Our waitress was kind, engaging and attentive. When you leave most team members you encountered on the way out were super nice, each one would thank you for coming and wished you a good night even though they were busy.
This restaurant has one of the best staff I've encountered.
For the 3 of us it was $110.00 before the tip.
Seated faster than we thought. Hot rolls and the butter was so good. All the veggies were nice and crisp. Corn, green beans and steak fries were really good. Meat was cook to perfection nice and tender. Rice was seasoned perfectly❤️❤️❤️
I started my night by googling “steak near me.” It took me here. But the food..Twice baked potato? More like half baked potato! My potato was hard as a rock. The buttered corn was also underwhelming and I found a black chunk of something in it. However, the onions and mushrooms that I had on my steak were divine. And don’t forget about those rolls!
I sat at the bar by myself and honestly it was probably the best part of my day. I got the biggest steak in the house it was prepared to perfection and so so deliciously tender. But what really made it great was Jess my bartender, she was fantastic and so easy to talk to. She's by far the reason I enjoyed my meal as much as I did!!
Oh and remember always always always tip your server, preferably in cash if possible they'll appreciate it. ????
I've been in Texas Roadhouse restaurants before while traveling, in Texas and Wisconsin, and while I was visiting Kalamazoo MI, I found this one by accident and immediately went in. It took about 25 minutes to get seated because I know they are usually crowded but as always, is worth the wait. I love their steaks, they are so tasty, juicy and tender, like no other steakhouse I've been . Service was great ???? our waitress was very friendly. Highly recommend Texas Roadhouse!
We haven't been to Texas Roadhouse since the pandemic hit. The food was good and just as we expected it, although the salads were forgotten about. They did pack them up for us, and we enjoyed them at home with other meals.
