Best WLM Reviews
Very gross restaurant. The flies you are up front are twice as bad in the back of the house where your food is being prepared. Safe food handling is not followed here. The only manager with proper qualifications for food handling is over the front of the house. Bugs are cooked onto those rolls. Bugs are waved off your onions and tomatoes before they go on your burger. Cockroaches crawling through the flour while your food is being breaded in it. Nobody wears gloves. Tea urns have slimy residue in them. Your salad and all the toppings are prepared bare-handed. If bugs fly into the dressings or sauces, they’ll just get mixed in and you’ll never know. Old food/grease buildup on everything. If you have a problem with your food, your best bet is to walk up to the manager sitting at the bar scrolling Facebook or playing Candy Crush and ask them personally for assistance because they will NOT be coming to your table… unless you’re black, then they’ll be coming to let you know they called the cops on you. Thick dust on everything in there. Dead rat under the booth. I can go on and on. The only #1 award this restaurant would receive is the # 1 worst place to eat.
Located conveniently at the Coastal Grand Mall, Texas Roadhouse Grill offers a hearty and casual dining experience perfect for the whole family. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect:
Pros:
Great steaks: They're known for their hand-cut steaks, grilled to your liking. Whether you're a rib-eye enthusiast or a filet mignon fan, they have something for every steak lover.
More than just steaks: If you're not in the mood for beef, they offer a variety of other options like chicken, burgers, pork chops, and even seafood. They also have a kid's menu for the little ones.
Family-friendly atmosphere: With their casual, come-as-you-are vibe, Texas Roadhouse is a great place to take the whole family. The staff is known for being friendly and attentive, making sure everyone enjoys their meal.
Daily lunch specials: If you're visiting for lunch, they offer special deals on some of their menu items.
Cons:
Cleanliness: A sanitation issue detracted from my experience. I found a hair on my plate, which raises concerns about overall hygiene.
Buns: The freshness of the buns was disappointing. They seemed stale or past their prime.
Meat Temperature: Unfortunately, the meat was overcooked.
Customer service was horrible from the time we entered the facility to the time we left. Honestly I felt being black wasn't accept in this restaurant and the fact that the manager never addressed why the food took over an hour and a half to get to us. The host didn't speak to us just looked when we walked in. The waitress was decent and did all she could but the vibe was just off. Forced to pay a 23% tip already calculated in the bill for a total of 157.00 for two kids and two adults. Will never go her again whenever I visit myrtle beach. I still can't understand why they choose the name so close to Texas Roadhouse food chain by putting grill after there's as if to draw customers in thinking it will be close to their food but so far from it. I highly advise no one eats here especially if you black. Very poor management and lack of training to serve the public. BLACK PROPLE NOT WELCOMED HERE DEAD SERIOUS!
Hostess was a little rude. Our Food took forever, service was okay, food was alright. (My steak was hard and couldn’t even eat it). Portions are super small for what they charge. Tip was included and she didn’t even let us know. (I noticed bc I am a waitress). Worst Texas roadhouse, understand it’s a family owned, which I think they could do way better than Texas Roadhouse.
Restaurant was practically empty when we went in. Ordered food and waited well over 30 minutes. Portions were small and food was warm, not hot. Then they charged gratuity and said they do that on parties of 4 or more. I’ve eat at plenty of Texas Roadhouse and never charged gratuity on a party of 4, we’ve never ate at this particular one though. Manager said they were family owned and could do that and refused to make it right. A huge group of people were coming in as we were leaving and we told them about our experience and they left. I disputed the gratuity charges with my bank. Had we known that gratuity would be charged for me and my 3 kids we would have just went elsewhere. I have no problem tipping but a $56 bill went to $74 and that’s a ripoff.
We had a party of 5. Usually it tells you when entering if gratuities are added for a certain number in your party and nowhere did I see this noted. Two steaks was sent back twice that was suppose to be well done and they was so bloody there was blood on the plate both times. No refills was given. Rolls had to be asked for before we ever got them which was terrible. Manager was rude when first entering and was very rude when asked about paying a $35 gratuity for raw food. Over all the food we did actually get correct wasn’t very good and the employees had a horrible attitude. The manager said any party of 4 or more gratuity was added automatically. So just be aware because they don’t tell you until it to late.
walked in and the hostest was busy talking to another coworker and just stared at us. finally spoke up and said 3 please and she poked the other girl to go seat us. sat down and waited 25 mins for the waitress to come over and ask for our drinks. it took me staring at her for her to notice us. she brought out cold burned bread, then the appetizer which was potato skins. they were completely burned, I took pictures. we asked her to just let us pay for the appetizer and srinks and go because the food was already horrible we didn’t wanna get the full course and pay a fortune. mind you we paid 20 dollars for 3 potato skins and 3 sweet teas. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE.
Not going to waste time on telling what was wrong. I’ll tell you what was right. Our waitress did her best to correct the issues we had with our food. It was not our waitresses fault. The food, manager and everything in between was terrible. There were bugs in the bathroom (pictures attached). Bugs in the mesh net above our table.
