Best WLM Reviews
So this is my second time ever eating here, but this is my first time dining in and let me say this is probably the worst experience I have ever had as far as dining in
So I was with five other people we arrived and was seated, but it took 45 minutes to receive our food. There was only one waitress that was serving everyone, but there was only four tables occupied out of the whole establishment waitress was too busy flirting with the other two come over and take our order , but anyway, I ordered the steak and rib combo which the food wasn’t that bad I’ve had better and my sides were collard greens and barbecue beans there was also a cornbread muffin that came with the meal, but it tasted dry
The collard greens tasted like it was loaded up with a bunch of vinegar and strangely enough it taste like there was vinegar in the barbecue beans, but it could’ve been the barbecue sauce that was used also the soda tasted kind of flat and I only had one refill for that time. I was there again. The waitress was off flirting with the other table behind us.
I guess if I was in a pinch, I would order takeout, but as far as having choices, I would never come back to this restaurant again or refer anyone to this restaurant
Just don't. Absolutely some of the worst food we have ever experienced. Service was good, considering they were extremely short staffed.
We had ribs, brisket, and a ribeye. All were overcooked, underseasoned, tough, and cold.
We ate one bite of each item paid and walked away.
Unfortunately for us, that was enough to give us both explosive diarrhea, turning the last 4 hrs of our drive into a 12 hour marathon of torturous truckstop bathroom destruction. My a--hole may never be the same.
Please, for the love of all that is good and holy in this world, save yourself and don't eat here.
The food was exquisite! Everything from the appetizer the sides to the main course. I had the 8 oz steak and it was better than a Texas Roadhouse steak any day. They even had cornbread muffins which were phenomenal and I'm not even much of a cornbread person. I am very grateful that we went there to eat instead of Texas Roadhouse. We got in immediately and had no line to wait in. The waitress was topnotch not once did my glass go empty and she checked to make sure things was going good for us and if we needed anything else. She was Not annoying about it either. The scenery inside was beautiful including the restrooms and the drop down ceiling in the main dinning area. Enjoyed the whole experience from the moment I walked through the door. Very friendly and courteous staff. I recommend anyone who wants delicious food that's better than Texas Roadhouse to try them out. They may not have rolls on their menu but the rest of the food that they do have makes up for it. Will be going back again.
After a flight and drive to meet friends in KY, we were tired and hungry. The Outlaw was a block away so decided to try it. Should have had some caution because (a) their sign had half the neon out and (b) only two cars in lot on a Saturday night.
We were seated right away and given menus . My wife asked for water and lemon. I told the waitress I wanted a big glass of sweet tea. Lol. She brought a glass and a pitcher of tea!
We decided to split the rib, pork, brisket and chicken combo. My wife chose a loaded baked potato and I the BBQ as sides. I wanted to upgrade fries to onion rings but those were off the menu. I walked around taking pics and noted dozens of trophies on display for BBQ. That made me feel better about coming.
Our meals came surprisingly fast. Unfortunately that was also a bad sign. The combo plate came with their own BBQ sauce slathered over everything, no option for anything different. The meal was all barely warm, not hot enough to melt the butter on the potato or cornbread. Oh, we asked for bread and we’re told they had no bread or rolls?
Normally I prefer pulled pork and my wife chicken, not this time. Not a fan of the pork or brisket, I tried a riblet. It was horrible. Not only cold but very tough. Couldn’t cut it with a knife, and hard to bite off the bone. Almost like it had been cooked and sat for awhile. My wife said the brisket was fair but didn’t like the pork or chicken and her riblet was too tough to eat. I thought the chicken was fair and ate that, trying to wipe off the sauce.
Not sure if they will be in business long if ours was an indication of the food. The trophies must have been another generation? Also noted as we left that their tall sign, to be visible from the Interstate, was off. The only reason for one star for the great server and great tea.
We arrived at 6:45 & was told take 15 minutes to be served. At 7 pm the over worked nice young waitress took our order. There were 5 tables ahead of us. Our food finally arrived at 8:15 pm cold.
Although short-staffed (delays in service) our waitstaff (Tarin) was wonderful and catered to us. She didn't let the circumstances spoil her awesome personality. That said, the food was great! Will definitely make a future trip back here. There's a reason it's among the best-tasting BBQ nationally!
The food was not very good.
Basic Sysco reheat food instead of handmade, potatoes were instant, and chicken fried steak was a processed patty meat. Mac and cheese came out cold as well as my husband Mac and Cheese meal. I was disappointed that it wasn't better than I hoped.
The best BBQ I've had. I was staying at the hotel right by here and passed it on my way in. Thought it sounded great but being so close to a hotel I'm always suspicious because you know places like these pop up to cater to (read scam) tourists. Happy to say this was the opposite. The "award-winning" ribs were delicious! I couldn't get enough of my sides. And the steak was cooked to perfection. The portions were big enough to take some home (half a steak, 2 ribs, and a few bits of each side) and the whole thing was just over $20. Are you kidding?!
There was a long wait due to staffing, seemed to be only 1 girl running the entire front of house for a while, then there were 2 either one was in break or just started a shift...but it was WELL worth the wait.
My only negative is I believe I was supposed to get dinner rolls and they were never offered or stopped off (and I didn't order any apps) so I was a bit disappointed because they mentioned then being hand-made in the menu making me expect something delicious like the Roadhouse honey butter rolls.
Still I may literally make the trip back here every year for this alone.
