Food: 3/5 (okay)
Service: 5/5 (very hospital and great!)
Atmosphere: 5/5 (Awesome environment! Better at night!)
Awesome experience at Texas Corral! Located in Stevensville, Michigan, this restaurant is good for meats and sitting around the table together.
The food was okay. I enjoyed the steak burger with bacon, and the onion flower was pretty good. The nachos had old chips that made them not as good; the nachos weren't hot, and the cheese wasn't pleasant. The butter rolls were amazing and hot! Overall, okay experience with the food.
The service was phenomenal! The front of the house host seats you with the best energy. My direct server, Paige, was extremely kind, kept my water cups full, and checked on me frequently. Very nice service!
The atmosphere was amazing! I love how clean the restaurant was, the decor, the quotes on the walls, the televisions, the Texas vibe, everything was nice.
All in all, it was a great experience at Texas Corral!
Way to go Texas Corral ???????????? Great service and good food. Awesome manager (wish I had gotten her name) and Charlie our waitress. Both of these ladies made our evening when the manager saw that one of our dishes did not look as it should. She came to us and explained the situation and said she would be overseeing the cooking and apologized for the inconvenience and asked if she could get us anything while we waited. We had the double pork chops and the southwest Cobb salad. Both were delicious.
This place is amazing. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. The portions are so large including the drinks which literally comes in a huge jar. I enjoyed every bit of the fish, salad and appetizer we ordered. Also think the price is very pocket friendly plus you get complimentary peanuts on your way out. I was so full, I skipped dinner. Definitely recommend.
My husband and I had dinner here last night and he ordered a Texas strip steak, and I must say it was perfectly cooked and perfectly flavored. Usually the steaks here always have too much salt, and this is why I personally don't order the steaks. I love most all of the other foods, however I wish there was more "soup" selections. The chili I ordered was good, a little soupier than the meaty chili I have had before. I hope someone sees this and cuts down the sodium content of the chicken and dumplings soup. It is delicious, however it is wayyy too salty, and I end up watering it down because of that. Our waitress was friendly and did a great job!
Im only putting 5stars on service because my waiter did great even apologizing after i took 1st bite and said im outta here. Which i said to him its not your fault sir and tipped him regardless of how AWFUL the food was.
Ordered a bacon cheddar burger of the menu and waiter asked me HOW would u like it done. I asked for Medium
Comes back with order i bite into it, and right off the bat anybody would be able to see and taste of Frozen!!!! I look at it and no shock to me seeing how ugly the burger looks on the inside. Ruined my whole appetite, never never will i drop in this place again
First time visit on a Monday evening at 5:45 PM. We were seated immediately and had been told the restaurant is similar in food and style as Texas Roadhouse. The kiddos were pleased to receive coloring place mats and crayons. We immediately decided our drink order and were ready to tell the server when she arrived. We quickly decided our food choices and had to wait on the server for drinks and to order our food.
When she finally arrived with drinks and asked if we were ready to order, we were completely ready and said "can we start with the cactus flower?" Rather than responding or asking if we wanted to order our meals (which we did), she then walked away without saying anything and didn't return for 15-20 minutes.
She finally returned to take our orders (our app still hadn't arrived) and we ordered a kids corn dog, bronco cheese burger with mustard, chicken tender dinner, and sirloin and roasted chicken combo.
We waited again for the app and then shortly after my salad came. The cactus flower was very bland, didn't seem seasoned at all. The salad was just okay (the italian dressing was mixed in already and lacked flavor).
The food finally arrived. The chicken tenders were bland and dry. The sirloin was well done and tasted good. The roasted chicken wasn't what I expected so I didn't eat it (it was on the bone). We never received any rolls, which were mentioned on the menu. The cheeseburger was burnt and had no mustard.
Overall, regarding service we were extremely disapointment. Stephanie was the server, according to the receipt. She was not friendly at all and the way she quickly dropped things off at the table and never once checked in on us once we received our food made me uncomfortable. I heard her acting helpful and kind to other tables so I'm unsure why she was so apathetic to our needs.
Regarding the food, honestly it didn't satisfy our family and we would have preferred literally ANYWHERE else. We will not be reurning and I can't recommend that anyone else visit based on the experience we had.
Amazing food, service, and newly renovated building. Living right down the street, I love the new steakhouse. They have been very busy but have handled the guests very well. I look forward to returning for my birthday or for a future date night. I would highly recommend Texas coral for locals, tourists, or anyone passing through the town!
The staff is super friendly and accommodating! The rolls were delish. Not dry, not undercooked. I had the filet medallions which were also delicious in flavor. It wasn't quite medium rare, but still good. The lighting was kind of dark but overall a good experience!
