First time being here and I'm loving the new remodel(saw some old pics online) ! Best decor/style in a hotel room I've been to. Can't wait to see the new addition. Restaurant was yummy! I love the fact you have an amazing coffee too. Doors don't open easy to patio but it was still beautiful to watch sunrise.
This place is awesome !!!! The staff at Terrace Bay hotel is amazing, they totally go above and beyond providing excellent service!!! The rooms are sooooooooo clean, comfortable, and spacious. The rooms have microwaves and mini frideges( suites have full size fridges ). And OMG!!! The lakeside views are absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the sunrise is amazing … I highly recommend the Terrace Bay Hotel for an amazing vacation, businesses trip, or a weekend getaway!! You will not be sorry you did!
The rooms were brand new, and the view was amazing. The rooms had great ventilation, dimmable lighting, and were very modern.
This place is like a hotel you would find any upscale vacation destination, but in the UP, so very neat and completely unexpected.
Agree with the previous comments that the hotel opened a little ahead of being ready as, for example, some painting work needed to be done in the hallways, but nothing major.
After a two-week stay at the Terrace Bay Hotel, I am genuinely sad to be leaving. This place felt just like home! The hotel boasts a breathtaking view that adds to its charm, and the staff are incredibly friendly, making the atmosphere warm and welcoming. The restaurant serves excellent meals, although I do wish it was open for lunch as well. I also wish they had public Laundry.
While the service was generally okay and not out of the ordinary, my overall experience was so positive that I couldn't help but give it a five-star rating. CARRIE, REGINA AND LEIGH did better job then the other girls. The rooms need some deep cleaning. I guess they are almost done building a new building, brand new attached to this. I'm already looking forward to my next visits, as I plan to return here again and again. I highly recommend the Terrace Bay Hotel if you're seeking a place that feels like home away from home. Truly a gem!
Hotel is under construction and should not have opened quite yet. The new addition will be gorgeous once everything is complete. The rooms are very nice and comfortable, but definitely not soundproof as we could hear our neighbors all around. Staff is very friendly and helpful. My major complaint is, the pool area with all the hazards. The peeling floor, tripping hazard frightening hallway to bathroom that should be condemned. I was expecting upscale experience for the price I had to pay. I was highly disappointed
The setting of this resort is amazing. The hotel itself, is older and going through major renovations. This made it difficult for some of our folks with walkers to get in and out as they could not find the ramps easily. I love the new décor, but the rooms are too stark. A throw rug in the room would make it more cozy. The restaurant had amazingly good food. I don't mind paying for a good chef driven restaurant dinner. The problem I had was the pricing for the alcohol. Way overpriced for this neck of the woods. I look forward to seeing the resort when it is done with the renovations!
The rooms are very nicely appointed, clean and comfortable. The view/sounds of the bay and the birds were memorable. We truly appreciated the use of ceramic coffee mugs and glass wear. Such a nice touch.||The on site restaurant and coffee shop were on point providing really good food and service.||We're looking forward to staying in the new 50+ room addition. It looks beautiful.
The pillows were the flattest I have ever seen. The air conditioner would just shut completely off after a few minutes. I don’t mean cycle of when it cooled the room. I mean it would completely turn off. The whole place smelled musty. The house cleaning staff would sit by the door and smoke so you had to walk through their smoke on the way in and out. The smoke would waft down the hall way. One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
