Food was great. Service was great. Portion size went well for how much is charged. I had the steak fajitas and it was very good.
Was a delightful place in a small river town but well worth a special trip to just eat there .
Food was great, good value, served hot and fresh. Staff was friendly and pleasant and added to the vibe of the place. Will def. Return.
The only reason I gave 1 star is because I couldn’t continue without giving a star. Today I had the absolute worst experience ever. I should’ve known something wasn’t right. The restaurant was empty at 12:15 lunch hour rush time. Our waiter was clearly mistreating me because of the color of my skin. This man was not pleased with us being there from the moment we entered the building. I was still willing to give them a chance. My husband had special requests and every request was respectful honored. Me on the other hand, everything I asked for was denied. I even went above and beyond asking if I can pay extra money for fish instead of beef. I love supporting our small town business, unfortunately I will never step foot in this establishment or any affiliated with this place. I’m very well known and respected in this town and several surrounding areas. I will make sure my friends and supporters know how poorly I was treated. Totally unacceptable behavior.
I can't even tell you if I liked the food or not because I left before I could be seated. The people in front of me had been waiting there about 15 minutes and I had been there 10 minutes waiting in their crowded little entrance. A party of eight came in and they were immediately seated and it was obvious from the conversation they did not have a reservation. I'm planning to move to rising Sun and I can tell you I will not be doing business with this restaurant. Is this really the best you can do?
Tried Tequila’s while staying at Rising Star casino. Very glad we did. It’s all the way at the end of Main St., a one way street, by the river. Not busy on a Thursday night, we were seated and had chips and dips on table in 30 seconds, drinks in about 90 seconds. Impressive. Ordered meals of pollo con chorizo and the special meal. We were almost done with the chips when the meals came sizzling: 7 minutes. Food was excellent, service outstanding. Really glad we went and highly recommended.
Online prices different from in store. 2 Hawaiian fajitas and dip and chips cost me 54.46. Ridiculous and no apology or willingness to go by online prices. I paid 20.00 more than needed and the food wasn't that good. I won't go back
Fajitas for lunch
It's really hard to find a good restaurant in a small town like Rising Sun. With that being said, Tequila's Mexican restaurant is a great food (place) for the town and its residents. Excellent (delicious) Mexican food! Had the Fajitas for Lunch, the grilled chicken with onions, bell pepper, tomato, salad, rice, beans with tortilla, it was, fresh, hot, delicious and it wasn't drowned with salt. It arrived with a basket of chips, bean dip and salsa all freshly made. What more could you ask for. A great place to take your wife or family for authentic Mexican food and the service friendly and very professional and fast!
Rude!!! I usually have a good experience. I called in to place my order. After picking it up I noticed that they forgot ONE soft taco, only beef and sour cream. So I called to tell them that we was missing a soft taco. He was extremely rude about it. I read my order back to him and said that I was only missing the soft beef taco. He told me that it was in the bag, when it clearly wasn’t. He made me take a picture of the half eaten food, the receipt, and also the cheese and lettuce that was put on the hard shell tacos when they were supposed to be only beef. Not only did he make me do all of that but also when my husband went down to get the missing taco, he still made me repeat the order (which he got wrong) on my husband’s phone. I spent $50 on my order, why would I lie about missing a $3.60 taco. Finally after repeating the order AGAIN for the third time, I finally got a soft taco and he put another taco in with it. So if anyone calls in with a bigger order for pick up, be sure to check it in front of them. Very, very disappointed in the way they handled that situation! As you can see in the pictures below, no soft taco, and lettuce and cheese that was not supposed to be on the hard tacos.
