I had some kind of burger but I can't remember what meat it was. Bison? Deer? IDK. I know for sure it wasn't cow meat. The server Savvy ( I think that was her name), she was great. Very personable, gave us great recommendations. I'm not really a fan of burgers in general but wanted to try it. It was good, the fries were great. If I'm ever in that area, I'll visit again.
Andrew was an exceptional host. He recommended the French dip, which was out of this world good. House made prime rib, and house made aju. House made pico and chips. Insert chefs kiss. Also had an amazing Irish coffe. Solid 10/10 would recommend.
The service was nice, unfortunately the food was not. For the price for the beef burger, it was very small and no flavor. We originally ordered the Buffalo burger, but they were out. Peek at your receipt before you tip.
Burger was pretty good, a little overdone, a little bland. Service was great!
I've tried quite a few menu items over the years. Everything has been outstanding. The meatloaf is out of this world.
There are a few nice restaurants and cafes at the beautiful town of Leadville (situated at an elevation of 10,000 feet), but Tennessee Pass Cafe is one that you should definitely check out. It offers a comfortable indoors environment, a cute outdoor space, an appealing menu and a good variety of beverages. We really liked the burger (costume made to add some avocado and herb cheese), and the cool beer menu, offering some unique options. The staff was nice and efficient and the place was active but not overly busy.
This is the cutest little cafe/bar. For us, it was the perfect spot to grab a cold beer and some good grub after a long day of hiking.
Edit: 2 years later…. Wow we came here for lunch after snowmobiling. I am still blown away by how good the food was here. Best beer cheese soup I’ve EVER had. Potato bacon soup also 11/10. Colorado dip absolutely amazing, Brussels were phenomenal. Every bite was downright excellent!
My wife being a vegetarian she loved that they had vegetarian food options. She had the grilled cheese and tomato soup. I had the French onion soup and baked wings which were well seasoned.
