This was such an unexpected surprise. We took our dog to the groomer next door and decided to eat here. The service was phenomenal, Reggie and his wife took such great care of us. The food was sooooo good. Best bedidict I have had and I substituted the ham for turkey bacon. We tried the Ube brownie and the Silvanias which are both seasonal items. The taste was sensational. We will definitely be coming back to try dinner here!!!!
This hidden cafe is a true gem. An American cafe with Euro Asian influence. The food is incredible, it’s like fine dining restaurant quality of food with a tiny cafe feel and pricing. This is one of those restaurants that you have to love. Mom and pops shop but outstanding food and even better people! The first ever SYLVANA I’ve experienced and wow it was life changing. It’s now a necessity! The chicken a la pobre was magical and the scotch eggs… I can’t even explain it was so good.
Visited Temptations Cafe by Pandesal Republik. Saw A.J. Chin recommended it. Great food (chicken and steak) by chef who learned in France, and the Filipino cookies and cream silvana dessert was perfect. I don’t usually get chicken at restaurants cause I can make it at home, but boy it was great. Just know they are soft testing dinners right now for Fridays and Saturdays only right now to see how dinner demand is.
Love, love it! The food was superb and the owners were very nice.. looking forward to coming back and bringing more friends. Came all the way from west side and it was worth the drive. Coming back for more desert goodies! Mango cheesecake was yummy! Sylvania yummy! Chicken Ala Pobre, yummy and the steak was cooked perfect as desired!
This place is so welcoming. The owners are amazing individuals. We don’t come here as often as we’d like because we live so far, but when we do make the journey, Temptations Cafe never disappoints! From the decor, to the ambiance, the food, and the conversation. Their desserts are my favorite! All baked in-house from scratch and super fresh!
This place makes you feel at home. 5 stars, well deserved!
Great little location to have breakfast. Smaller menu options but the food is good. I would go back again.
Had lunch with two of my best buddies today at Temptations Cafe, our second visit this month. One of my buddies chose the Ruben with coleslaw which he enjoyed very much.
The other two of us each selected the club with fries (see pic). The over stuffed sandwich was cut into 4 triangles with a mountain of fresh, hot, thick cut fries. The sandwich and fries were absolutely top notch!
We also spoke to Reggie, the owner who was very interesting to talk to. He showed us several pics on his phone of several current MLB players who were in town for Spring Training and had stopped in for a meal, which was cool!
Reggie's from Chicago and his place has a large variety of Chicago Bears, Bulls, Cubs and White Sox memorabilia up on the walls which was neat to look at.
If you want tasty, classic American fare, in a cool environment, Temptations is the place for you!
