We stopped in for a drink after a show at the Masonic. A cool historicl dive bar with a fun relaxed vibe. I hear that the dance floor can be hopping on the weekends.
Good place to have a few drinks before event at Masonic Temple. Bar staff were friendly and quick, even when the place got busier before the concert.
Wanna go out for dancing? Regular priced drinks? Good ol' Detroit' s on staff!! Here it is the hole in the wall bar with a nice dj circuit going on!!!
Friendly, inviting, inclusive. People from all walks of life, backgrounds, party together. This is a place for fun and enjoyment. No drama, no b.s. Special events can be found on the fb page. Check it out!
Decent place close to LCA. Prices are high for beer, and staff act like they’re doing you a favor serving you one. If it wasn’t close to the arena no would go there

Don't let the dark underground look from the outside deter you, this is a great place to grab a couple drinks and the bartenders are awesome. They accept all walks of life here, just no peddle pubs! When there's no live DJ, they have a juke box you can load it up with your favorite tunes. The dance floor gets busy around 11pm if they have a good DJ that night. I've never had any issues with people there. Lost my phone once and someone returned it to the bartender. Drink prices are average, mixed drinks are a bit on the small side. Bathrooms are a bit dingy and the whole back area near the washroom smells like urinal cakes. The Patio out back is a great place to grab some fresh air. One of my fav places to go, not everyone's cup of tea though.
This a great bar for a quiet night to just hang out. It's small, personal, and just fun. No fancy tables or servers or expensive drinks, just a classic, local bar with friendly people. The bartenders are so cool and chill. Definitely a great place to go after an event at the LCA!
