I had a delicious large plate of grilled chicken fajitas with onion, peppers, rice pilaf, and tortillas. The cup of chili was hot and savory, and my guest’s taco salad was fantastic as well.
the inside is cute. good lemon drop martini, seasoned fries and chicken tenders. ranch is decent, honey mustard is weirdly runny but okay. potato skins were dry and had no flavor - sour cream that came with it was weirdly thick, almost like cream cheese. our waitress also forgot about us for about 15 minutes, and it wasn’t busy with dine in. she couldn’t attend enough to her folks that dined in after us though
It's not often I leave a 5/5 review. Although I haven't tried everything on the menu, I had the Slam Dunk sandwich, and it surely didn't disappoint. The roast beef was tender and extremely juicy, not too fatty, and the sautéed onions and havarti cheese added just enough flavor, but not too much to overpower the roast beef and roasted hogie bun. Fries are superb ???? well done guys! I'll be back
My daughter and I went here for dinner last week. We ordered the hot cheese melt, steak Caesar salad, and a couple appetizers.
The spinach dip was just ok, the chips and salsa were good, the potato boats were not good according to my daughter. The steak Caesar salad was awful! The dressing was not a Caesar at all, it was an oil, and it was gross. The hot cheese melt was awful too! It had " too much going on"
The waitress was nice, and service was good. Definitely looks like a cute place to have drinks, but I will not be back for food.
Telly's Place in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan, is a long-running neighborhood favorite with a warm, clubby atmosphere. Their menu offers hearty pub fare with something for everyone, making it a great spot for a casual meal with friends or family. The friendly staff and lively atmosphere make it a fun place to hang out and enjoy a drink, too. If you're in the area, Telly's Place is definitely worth checking out!
I generally come for the Caesar or Cobb (w/chicken).... generally with the chicken, the portion is skimp (always has been) the past time i got with the salmon... at most it was 4 ounces (a fillet cut in 1/2 or 1/3) super skimpy for the price. This will be the last time i eat anything here (was the only thing left that was decent)
Dropped in for some pickup lunch. Was pleased with the whole vibe. Really nice bartender and friendly crowd. Food was delicious too.
I would say they deserve 0 stars but I’m okay with them getting 1 because the cosmo was strong but when I say the food is just nasty! I came for a salad but decided to get wings and the spinach dip but I didn’t even want to order my salad because of how horrible the appetizers were. All of it was just nasty. First of all why does this establishment even have what I like to call “cheap coney wing dings”. They are overly battered (see photo) weren’t tossed at all (sauce dripped on top), fake meat and just plain wrong and don’t belong in a restaurant!! Then how do you mess up spinach dip? I told the waitress I was simply ready for the bill, she asked if I wanted a box for the uneaten food and I told her “no”. When I was a waitress and I told my manager a customer was unhappy they would come speak to you and assess the situation and that never happened and then didn’t offer to adjust the bill either. I am disappointed in the waitress and management for dropping the ball and making me a happier customer. Won’t be going back.
