Gentleman did me a solid, got a great service and help. Very rare these days, need more people like him.
Do not use. Guy sold me a used tire, then when it blew 14 miles down the road, told me it was my fault for my heavy trailer weight. However, my existing new tire had no issues with the weight. Then he was going to try beating the damaged rim back in shape to hold another tire. Save yourself a headache & go to Cal-Nevada Towing.
Very long story short, Chet is an incompetent mechanic and horrible businessman. He took $2500 from me to fix a major issue on my car and let it sit on his lot for 5 months without getting anywhere near finishing the job. I trusted him and he took my money and then started ignoring my calls. Please don’t give this lying hillbilly your business.
Towing a trailer through Nevada, one of our tires blew out 75 miles before Tonopah, and we were able to replace it with our spare, but our other tire was looking pretty bald, and when we checked it again in town the rim was bent. No one in town carried the size trailer tire we needed, but Chet was able to find us a used one, and got us back on the road within an hour. He was very kind and helpful, we are so greatful he was there and able to find what we needed!
The only reason I’m giving him one star is there is no way to rate him any lower I stupidly paid for services in advance for a simple weld my vehicle has been sitting there for several months I asked him about it today he got irate and very violent this tire shop is a scam a front it’s very shady there is no certified mechanic there ever just Chet the YouTube mechanic as the locals call him go to a real shop it will cost you less in the end
Chet Teel is a local guy who treats people right. He values honesty and integrity, and places service first. We had a great conversation as he fixed a leak in my tire and got me back on the road for a very reasonable price. You won't go wrong bringing your car here for any kind of service.
Do Not trust this guy or have him work on your vehicle. Drove back 54 miles rt to have work redone which he wanted to charge me for, again and got really surly. Now I'm 75 miles down the road and the exhaust is leaking again. New shop said there's a bunch of goop slapped on the exhaust leak which needs to be scraped off and repaired properly. And I've had to go out of my way to find this muffler shop. Gas cost, time, and $ wasted has been a terrible experience. Even if he's the only place in Tonopah, you're better off getting out and pushing your car to the next town.
These guys were literally life savers!! Driving from Yosemite to Wisconsin, our battery light came on. We pulled in to Chet’s and he came out and tested it. Said it was our alternator but he had a Toyota in the yard that was totaled so he would try to take out that alternator and try it in our car. Unfortunately it didn’t fit so we walked to Napa Auto and ordered one. Chet drove us to town with all our stuff to the hotel. He said it would be ready in the morning! Sure enough, the car was ready 15 min early with a full tank of gas!! Amazing service.
