The food and service was really good. I had the goat birria and it was very authentic. The waitress was always checking on us to see if we were good or needed anything. I did notice cobwebs and dust around the restaurant.
Such sweet staff! Food is always delicious. They even gave us complementary churros that were absolutely devine!
The waiters was outstanding. The food was down home echatic Mexican food was great.the restaurant was clean and quiet. I live in Rochelle Illinois and this is the only Mexican restaurant I come to eat at. Best drinks and food, hands down. You'll love it there!!
So I live near the city of Chicago. I know good Mexican food since I am Mexican and have tried numerous places. Today I came to this location, since I was visiting family.
The place is old and it smells musty. The bathroom were at least clean. The food was not good at all. It was very disfuncional, as if they cannot handle big groups. The steak tacos were not good at all. They also ran out of horchata within the hour and half they opened up. Would I be coming back ?? NO!! Im not sure where all these good reviews are coming from. Because of the reviews we decided to visit this place but it was just a waste of money.
Food was not very good. Salsa was very spicy and at least a week old. I ordered a steak meal, the steak was completely burned and chewy. The meat was grossly over salted. The rice and beans were flavorless and the rice looked as if it had been over cooked by about 2 days. Service was polite but not very attentive and seemed annoyed. Place was clean and well lit. Overall not a great experience and the food will not have me running back.
Great food. I mean really great and authentic food. The goat stew is amazing but the more gringo friendly food is also spectacular. The service is horrible. Learn to carry a tray - what is with this one plate at a time for a table of six?! Server always disappears before the check arrives. And the place is dusty and the blankets are torn. Just nasty.
I've only been there 1 time. Were the only people in there. Placed our order then all of a sudden the whole place filled up. They all got served we didn't they all spoke Spanish we feel like we were discriminated against. Will never go there again took 2 hours to get our food with no apologies. Also ordered from there but we would pick up. Again 2 hour wait. Never again will I give them my business! My roommate likes their food I have had way better.
Delicious food! The server was inattentive as we never saw her again after food was delivered. So we had No refills on drinks. We eventually went up to another person and said we need our check. Food was good enough we will still be back, but maybe order and pick it up instead.
