Best WLM Reviews
I have written a review about my first experience there. Read that first. Then take this as an addition. If you get the chance to have Jessica AND Cody behind the bar, it's AWESOMENESS!!! The food that rolls out of this kitchen will leave your taste buds wanting more. The drinks! WOW!!! I was told that Mattawan locals have a sweeter taste pallet, so if you want a dang great drink with a bit of sweetness. This is your spot. It's really close to 94. Don't drink and drive people. Come for the food, stay for the company. It's worth an hour of your time!
Solid quality food with good pub atmosphere.
We have been to the Tavern many times and always have had great food and awesome service, my favorite dishes are the cashew chicken, salmon, and Reuben sandwich. But always ask what's their special because you might miss out on a new awesome dish. We have had Cody as our server many times and he is awesome always friendly and really enjoys his job. Love how the chef cares for quality food. All around I would recommend This place to anyone.
We love it here! Food is always tasty, the staff is really the show stopper. We feel so welcome every time we come in! Family friendly, the stress of bringing kids to a restaurant can make the dining experience unpleasant but Jess, Cody and Ally make us feel at ease with out boys, even when they aren’t the best behaved. If you’re looking for a Cheers vibe where everybody knows your name and order, this is the place!
Decent service, average food. Waitress was nice and professional. I had the bakef pretzel with cheese sauce for an appetizer, which was good. For the main course, the cheeseburger was bit burnt, but still edible. Their Diet Coke was good. As for the building itself, there was very little air conditioning. The bathrooms were somewhat dank and dark, but clean. Not sure I'll be back soon. In the long term, maybe.
The food was good. The service was friendly but sub par. Food was very slow to come out. The only really bad part was that it was insanely loud. I think the noise had something to do with poor acoustics and a few annoying groups. Either way, the wife and I will likely only come back when we are able to sit outside where we will be able to hear each other talk without yelling.
First time visit tonight. My wife's cashew chicken was delicious. My bacon-wrapped filet was delicious. Our server, Sarah, was prompt, pleasant, and perfectly attentive. The prices were very reasonable. We sat on the patio overlooking the pretty pond. We'll be going back.
Much less busy that Main St. Pub, but not as many beers on tap. The food is better, in my opinion. I read the reviews and ordered the recommended Reuben sandwich. It was as good as the reports. They make their own corned beef and their own sauerkraut, which is sweet kraut. It's a different Reuben, but it is really good. They give you a massive amount of tater tots. They have a fried perch special that I want to try and their burgers look big and good. My server said the burgers are hand made, unlike the place down the road.
This pub has a warm and friendly feeling and atmosphere. Altogether enjoyable.
