Best WLM Reviews

5/3/24: Had the braised short rib, 4.25*. Comes with mashed potatoes, salad, hummus, and lavash. Very good though pricy at $30. Also had the homemade yogurt drink with diced cucumber, whose slightly fermented taste I didn't love. I probably wouldn't order the drink again as I prefer the regular aryan.
Wow! Stunningly amazing, flavorful, authentic Armenian food, cooked to perfection! Perfectly flavored beef shwarma and beef lule kabob. If you haven't tried Tava House, you are missing out. Go! Eat! You will be back, over and over.
We ordered the chicken bbq and short rib plates. The food was so fresh and the flavors were amazing. The hummus is the best I’ve had! The restaurant is run my husband and wife and everything is homemade. I definitely recommend Tava House and will be coming back!
Had a craving for Mediterranean food ! So that place didn’t disappoint ???? great food and service !
Ordered the lamb chops plate + an additional chicken luleh kebab for take out and everything was so good, tender, juicy and well-seasoned. We opted for mutabbal and beet salad as our sides (best mutabbal we’ve ever had and beet salad was very refreshing). This order was enough food for 2 hungry adults to share for dinner.
I’d say the prices for the amount of food you get is very fair ($25 for lamb chops plate that comes with 2 sides and a base, plus $12 for the additional chicken luleh kebab).
This is a local, small, family-owned business that definitely deserves more recognition for the quality of their food. Not only is the food good, they give generous portions, and the owner is very kind and helpful (she walked my partner through the entire menu when he was making an in-person order).
Consider taking a break from the other more well-known Armenian restaurants in the area and give Tava House a try. Once you eat their food, you’ll probably have a new gold standard to go by for Armenian BBQ plates.
Parking: there is a free parking lot shared with other businesses in the immediate area
Restaurant sits on Glendale Blvd at one end of a long strip mall with plenty of parking. I ordered a chicken kabob plate with 2 sides, tabouleh and hummus. Both the flavor and presentation were outstanding. Chicken kabob had so much flavor and was fresh and juicy. The tabouleh was delicious and had a great texture. The fragrance of fresh parsley in the tabouleh permeated the dish and enhanced my dining experience. The hummus is home made. Comes with lavash bread. I would definitely be back.
The BEST chicken shawarma wrap we’ve ever had in all of Glendale. So flavorful! Mutabel was also AMAZING! Very clean and very friendly atmosphere. Can’t wait to try more dishes!!!
May 10th, 2022. Overpriced for such a mediocre quality kabobs.
It was late (around 9:30 pm) and my favorite places were closed already. So I decided to find a new spot. My decision to visit this place was based on stellar Google reviews (all 5 stars).
I Ordered their borsch, and three different kabob plates: beef, lamb chops and beef lulya. I asked to substitute the rice with salads. I planned to eat some over there and take the rest for to go. Beef kabob was the best (4 stars), but still nothing extraordinary. Lamb chops were too tough, not tasty and/or tender(3 stars). Both, the beef and lamb, were covered in some spicy oil, which I did not like. The beef lulya was inedible(0 stars). I ate just
a small piece, and decided to leave it. The borsch was complete disgrace. And I had had cravings for borsch after the lady behind the counter (who took my order) advertised it. The best part of the meal were the salads: quinoa avocado one, and the Armenian - tomatoes and cucumbers. The ingredients were fresh and the salads were really delish. The cabbage salad not so much but still OK.
The check was for $67, which I consider too high for that quality (keep in mind that I could not eat borsch and lulya).
The place was spotless clean and the service was friendly and prompt.
