This place is AWESOME! I struggle with why they’re only 4 stars. I love Indian food and am pretty picky about what is good and not good. The food here is VERY good and is always fresh and hot coming out of the kitchen. My first time at this restaurant I asked the waitress what they would recommend. First question they asked was how spicy do I like it? I said I’m good with anything. They referred me to a couple of dishes and I ordered them both, I forget the names of them, but I was in heaven. Absolutely wonderful and the service was very very good too. Hope you try and enjoy.
Tava Restaurant is an absolute gem in Morton Grove! From the moment I stepped inside, I was impressed. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for a night out or a special occasion.
But what truly sets Tava apart is the exceptional cuisine. The menu offers a delightful fusion of flavors, and each dish I tried was a masterpiece. The freshness of ingredients and the skillful preparation were evident in every bite.
The staff was not only attentive but also knowledgeable about the menu, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Their recommendations were spot-on.
Whether you're a food enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable meal, I highly recommend Tava Restaurant. It's a culinary delight that deserves all five stars!
Fresh and tasty food.
The place has a very cozy atmosphere, although I can't comment on the service as I ordered takeout. The portions are reasonable, and the food is very good, with flavors and aromas that delight the palate with each bite. The menu details dietary restrictions very well, which is helpful. It's definitely a place I will return to without hesitation.
Life is too short for boring food. So that's why you go to TAVA Fresh Taste of India. From the moment you walk in their doors you're transported and ready for your escape from reality.
Mahima is truly amazing. She literally asked us what we liked and didn't like and personally made our menu for the evening. From the cocktails to the very last bite Mahima transported us to India. Run don't walk to this Gem of a restaurant. Molly Bernard sent & I'm saving you airfare ????

The lunch bowls are amazing, huge portions and reasonably priced at $15.99. They have chicken, veggie, and even vegan. I’m vegan and I’m like veggies and protein together, not a problem! The vegan bowl has aloo gobi, chana masala, dal tikka, and salad, all on top of basmati rice. And the best part is that they can make it mild! I’m definitely going back for lunch!
What a FANTASTIC meal at Tava today! We were visited by the owner who was so kind to us. The chicken 65 was OUTSTANDING. Excellent food, excellent service (our server Sonia was amazing). Highly recommend!
Nice ambiance and friendly staff. All food seems to be on the milder side of hot spices so all can enjoy the #food #desifood The only thing missing are the choices of beef-based cuisine. #Tava does not carry #beef in their menu. Lamb and chicken are #halal so you can enjoy #ChickenTikka and #Tandoorichicken Servings are generous and may be for two people.

Excellent quality of food and service. A little bit higher than the average price for restaurants in the area, but they justify it with their quality. Might not be the choice if you're looking to save a little, but if you can afford it, definitely the choice for Indian food in the area.
