If you're looking for a place that serves diner like food, you should try Tasty Home Cookin. It's an old fashion type atmosphere when you walk in. Service is always prompt! My other and I only have been twice as I have been here once before a while back, but he has been wanting to try it out, so we went, and you will be full when you leave. The eggs are fully cooked to your liking if you want breakfast, which I had the other day. They have plenty of coffee to go around and are glad to refill you. We are definitely coming back to try the lunch and dinner selections on the menu. Today, my other had their biscuits and gravy with extra gravy as he said they were good and filling.
It definitely has the diner feel. The food was just ok. The ham steak, medium eggs, and sourdough toast were all good. The home fries were burnt and hard, the fruit was on its last leg. The sausage gravy and biscuits came out cold and my fiance's over easy eggs came out broken and more medium.
This place should be on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. Great little breakfast and lunch spot!
Older atmosphere but very clean and rustic.
Staff was super nice, friendly, and very attentive even though it was packed.
Mini burgers were as good as recommended. Juicy meat, fresh fixings, and Hawaiian bread, along with perfectly melted cheese.
Eggs were cooked to perfectly requested over medium.
Corned beef and hash and hash browns sides were well cooked and perfectly seasoned.
Big stack pancakes were absolutely yummy! Thin almost a crepe thickness but a great pancake. This type of pancake is now my favorite.

Small restaurant that has been around for years..They advertise 3 burgers for $5.00. I tried the pork chop and eggs and thought it was well worth the money..
This was our first time here for both of us. The first impression when we walk in was "wow" this place is old school diner. The waitress was really nice and explained the menu really good when we said this was our first time here. We ordered, food came quick, and was hot. You could tell it was fresh, the taste was top notch. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The prices was very affordable. We will be going back here again.
I am a recovering junk food eater, and I have always had trouble eating healthy organic foods with my girlfriend. This place blows my mind every time I sit down to eat. I have yet to pick something from the menu and not like it. The food is phenomenal. The drinks are interesting and fun and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Just go, you will love it!
Inexpensive food that is predictably good. For Sarasota, it is a good deal on a good meal. Good size portions. Served fresh and staff is friendly. Standouts include grilled tilapia, sweet potato fries and the cold plate (chicken salad with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and cucumber) which is perfect for a hot day!

I ordered the Mexican omelette. Not my favorite because I didn't realize there was chili in it but that wasn't their fault. Everyone else LOVED their order. I'm getting eggs Benedict next time. Because my husband said it's incredible as well as the biscuits and gravy.
Definitely recommend.
