We’ve been coming to this place for years. The food here is great and the service is always fast and friendly. I prefer their Jalapeño Cheeseburger with tater tots but they have several menu items to choose from. I have never been disappointed in them. If your ever in the area and looking for some good food then I highly recommend this place.
After about 10 times getting a hot fudge sundae I knew what to expect. Don’t get me wrong I really like them at this point, but when I went last time I ordered a large hot fudge sundae with extra hot fudge, and I got back a cup full of vanilla ice cream with one spoon full of fudge on top. I took it to the car expecting to find a bunch more fudge at the bottom of the cup… none. Now here is where things get interesting. And this is the only reason I am leaving this one start review…
When I went back to the window I asked very nicely in a kind tone “ are y’all out of fudge” the girl said no, why? I said I ordered extra hot fudge and she said so what’s the problem, I said there was not any fudge, she asked the I left woman for help and the older woman came back and said I can see the fudge right there, then the girl who made it for me said she made it correct. She could have said oh, yeah I’m sorry it’s busy here and I made a simple mistake but instead she lied, then she put the blame on me and made me out to be a liar who was just created problems. I won’t go back to this place. It’s a matter of principle. There were 1000 way this situation could have gone better instead the girl toon the 1 route to make sure she wasn’t responsible for the situation and that I was a problem.
My grandsons loved it. Hopefully the swinging bridge will be replaced on the trail.
Updated today. Fries are overcooked and old, and after asking for fresh ones, my wife and I got some just the same. Burgers were tough, shakes were not as expected. Sad....
This is some of the best hamburger food and ice cream for miles in this location. I drive from Tompkinsville just to get a good burger and fries with some good ice cream for dessert. Service is quite fast and always is perfect food.
Always stop here when in Burnsville. A reminder of childhood memories of all the "tasty dip/ dairy freezes" that used to be. Still tastes the same!
I had a long wait for a walk up order. The food wasn't something I'd order again. Meh...
Dont let the size fool you. This old fashioned Dairyette has great food and a huge selection. Check out the menu, nothing bad on it. You might have to wait a but, though. This place is busy not only with walk-ups, but also call-ins.
This is a small joint with a good selection of you're not a local expect to wait for your order while the others who must be regulars walk in as they put out their food and call them by name, excellent if you're a local or regular nothing wrong with that. As for the double cheeseburger it was ok must have been that low cost meat or fake meat stuff it didn't taste right, fries were unsalted (personally a good choice) fresh and good. And the hot fudge sundae was loaded with fudge ???? I'm an older guy that's not necessary but thank you I ate half of it. Soft serve had an off flavor maybe it only seemed off to me as it was a fresh serving I still enjoyed it. Overall it was ok not bad I prefer these smaller places over chain restaurants. So thumbs up.
