Taste of India was terrific! First time I’ve dined there.
One of my best friends and I had a very long lunch at this restaurant. The first thing that I noticed upon entering was the amazing smell of spicy curry. The decor in the entry way was beautiful.
My friend and I both had the $11 lunch special. The special included a choice of two entrees selected from four options, basmati rice, and nan. We also shared an appetizer that I am unable to recall the name of (breaded and fried egg plant).
The taste of everything was out of this world. Absolutely delicious!!
The staff was phenomenal throughout the meal. Our waiter answered many questions that I had. He also checked back frequently.

My favorite Indian food in town! You will be greeted with a smile and excellent hospitality as well as experience flavorful dishes. The menu has an amazing variety with gluten-free and vegetarian options.
Food was absolutely delicious. I feel that the rice portions could be larger. Definitely not enough rice for our curries. They were happy to bring more, but we did incur an additional charge.
Service was fast. Food was fast.
Restaurant atmosphere: although some parts are well-worn (seat cushions), the restaurant was clean.

Well, I've found my favorite Indian food in CR! Taste of India was outstanding, and I've been wanting to back every day since. I like to start with familiar comfort foods for my first visit, so we got the Lamb Tikka, Chicken Tikka, Garlic Naan, and some Lassi. Every dish was delicious and hands down the best naan I've had. I asked for my Tikkas spicy and boy did they deliver. VERY glad I got the lassi to cool down!
Can't wait to come back for other dishes and their lunch specials!
EDIT: Came back to try the Lamb Biryani, Chicken Curry, Kadai, and Gulab Juman and man does this place not miss. Every dish was packed with flavor, and you MUST end your meal with some Gulab Juman. I could have eaten a dozen of these soaked milk dumplings. The service is also incredible; they make you feel like you have three waiters at one time. Thanks for another great experience!
The inside is so beautiful, large, clean, and spacious! Waiters are all so friendly and sweet. The food is like heaven!!!! This food is truly amazing. I go here quite frequently and every time I go here each bite is like paradise. There’s nothing here I do not like, this food is so good it’s addicting. I highly recommend the buffet, it’s always very clean and tended to very often. Everything at the buffet is like heaven on earth! Absolutely delicious, if it’s your first time trying this restaurant or trying Indian food, definitely do the buffet!
I had business in that area. I have heard great things. But Friday was my first time! The owner was working in front. He was very nice. He suggested a few things I should try. So I followed is suggestion, and he was right. The staff was very friendly and professional. They actually enjoyed helping people. Which made my experience even better! The food exceeded all expectations. It is my new go to!
If you have not tried this place you are missing out! Taste of India is fantastic!
This was my first experience with this cuisine. Not only was it great dining but a history & culture lesson. The waitress was so helpful and patient with our choices. The atmosphere was enjoyable because of design details, music playing and cleanliness of restaurant.
