The food is amazing!! We got the spicy and sweet chicken, coconut rice, plantains, and juice. We got there at 8:01pm, because the website says they are open until 9, and Google says they are open until 8:30. The blonde woman who works there was incredibly kind. She heated us up food to go even though they were technically closed. Amazing food and employees. But please update your hours.
The food is very tasty and flavorful. Not a sitting area for family but the food is so good that we order our food and eat in the car. We go back any chance we get.
This had to have been the most "unpretentious" place I have ever eaten at in recent memory! I thought I had entered an auto repair facility but then I noticed some gentlemen sharing the evening Iftar meal. They beckoned me to a nearby table and the chef soon came and took my request. There was no menu, just suggestions of what he was offering this day.
Moments later, he returned with a heaping plate of macaroni, salad, chicken, and rice. It was so good and the price was so compelling that I left with an order of flank steak, macaroni, salad and rice for the following day’s Iftar dinner. Good food is wherever you find it!
I had grilled fish, rice and salad. It cost 10$, it tasted good and I didn't get sick. That's all I cared about.
There are no signes that shows where the place is located, they don't take credit cards and they don't have a menu. It's basic and cost efficient. Don't expect a fancy dinning experience for 10$. Take your food and leave.
Never gonna forget the 1st time I had their food in ocesn beach at farmers market. I am now a fan forever!
I have seen better hole in the walls in tj... First thing you see when you walk in the door is everything falling apart. Very authentic? Run down, very unheigenic. I cook for a living and I wanted to immediately leave because of how disgusting it was... 2 tables, dark... Looks absolutely NOTHING like the photos. The temple is around the corner. And the ones of inside the restaurant are probably multiple years old. More of a hangout spot for local immigrants from Somolia than a family restaurant... I would not suggest bringing your family here. Seriously... The kitchen should be closed. If you go here, make sure you are up to date on your shots... :/
Taste is good but need to be more hygienic.
Everything is good. Plates with rice, salad and a unique type of freshly made salsa. They come in chicken, beef, fish and lamb.
