I personally didn’t like this place my salmon was extremely overcooked, my mac and cheese was not cheesy or worth getting off the menu, they have me literally a spoon full of greens and when I went back and told them they got mad at me it was $7 for a side so I didn’t care but when I taste them they were so salty I couldn’t eat them. The yams was the most nasty item to me way too much sugar or nutmeg. The banana pudding tasted like a regular store bought dessert. I paid $55 dollars for nothing in my opinion. The workers was on their phones while they was taking orders including mines so professional they were catching attitudes and we waited for an hour and 30 mins because we came from out of town.
The music was great spacious atmosphere I ordered the oxtail gravy and it came with rice and I added a side of yams and green came up too $40-$42 and I absolutely loved everything about the meal everything was flavorful and mouth watering ohhhhhhh we got the banana pudding one omg!!!!!! 10/10 I recommend
The food was overly salty. With less salt, the flavor profile would have been 4. The portion size is enough for two people. I had the cajun shrimp, chicken, and greens, with mac & cheese as my sides. The mac was oily with an overpowering taste of condensed milk, and the greens had a heavy amount of salt. I could only finish the shrimp. The rest was not to my liking.
Tried this restaurant for the first time. I got the chicken and shrimp Alfredo. And the strawberry shortcake grapes. To start the pasta was mushy as soft as mash potatoes the flavor wasn’t there. The grapes were also just ok. For the price I expected more. The atmosphere is nice though.maybe today wasn’t a good day for them. But I’m not the type to come back and find out if they get better. One and done for me.
We came from Colorado and this was the SPOT to check out. Service was horrible, girls at the counter were non engaging, rude, short, and acted like they didn’t want to be there. Food was priced just right for the amount you received. It was delicious, fresh, well seasoned and everything we hoped it would be. I did however pay 14 for banana pudding and they were out of it, one of the girls said she told my daughter they were out when she dropped off the shears to cut the crab legs, she never did, because I was sitting right next to her when she came over. After eating our food, I went up to the counter and asked for a refund on the pudding. She stated they don’t do refunds but offered us some strawberry shortcake grapes. I declined and finally she got a manager or cook to come out to talk to me. He was so nice, asked how the food was and if we enjoyed it, apologized about the mix up on the pudding and refunded me the money for it. He was more engaging, kind, and happy. Will definitely be back for the food, just not the service. Your girls at the front really need to step up their customer service skills.
The mf food was $50 and has no spice, flavor nor did it have comfortable seating.
GIVE SHELLY A RAISE! Omg when I tell you she saved this place from getting a bad review I really mean it. The food was amazing, Mac and cheese, greens, brussel sprouts, yams, salmon, oxtails all taste BOMB. Customer service is as completely opposite it was trash, garbage, dumpster juice. We waited over an hour for our food. And honestly that wouldn’t have been a huge issue if the cashiers would’ve just communicate that. The cashier told use after waiting 35 mins our food would be ready in 10 more minutes, 20 mins later she had to nerve to say “I’m not back there in the kitchen so I don’t know how long it will be”. So I asked for a refund, then Shelly asked me my info and got my food to me. She was amazing and seem to be the only one that really cared about getting us our food. I was also pissed cause we dined out paid $70 for the food including a 15% tip just for being black owned, which we feel was a complete waste unless it goes to Shelly. We really appreciate her kindness and customer service even after I got an attitude with her. Thank you again Shelly they need more people like you working there.
I was able to get jerk chicken meal with 2 side greens and Mac and cheese . Sides were good no complaints greens had nice spice and seasoned. The jerk chicken was not up to par. it had no sauce on it which made it dry. All the jerk chicken I had from the Caribbeans to different states I had better . To get a side of jerk sauce which should have just a came on the chicken was $7.50 extra . Thought was a bit much. Would try other things next time if I’m in town
