Chefs Kiss … words cannot describe how delicious this food is. How warmly it has touched my soul.
Note: I have only ordered Take out from here. Several times and never disappointed.
I ordered wings and they were extremely overcooked. I could barely bite into them. It tasted like leftover wings that were fried again.
I also ordered the mango shrimp, mac and cheese and yams through DoorDash. They called me telling me they had no yams and literally told me I need to hurry up and choose a different side.
Don’t waste your time here.
Food looked better than it tasted. This is what I get to support a small business based on a craving without reading the reviews. My mom honestly does better on her worst day. The owner is also rather delusional thinking you can talk to customers paying YOUR bills any type of way. Up your psych meds or get off the birth control - whatever you do just fix it. You don’t know who or what is gonna walk through the door. On top of that she was in the kitchen with no hair covering then she tried to check me about tasting a small piece of shrimp from my own food at the counter. Even with good service it still wouldn’t be considered anything near a premium restaurant. People keep it classy and don’t even bother arguing with trash. Lest she spit in your food. Keep it up though! You’re doing great.
My go-to for soul food in my area! Everything from the sides dishes to the main courses are well seasoned and plentiful......most times I order I have about half of my food left for seconds. Probably been eating with them since their first location years ago and they've only improved in quality ????????
I went last week to specifically get the salmon salad I had seen on google maps and let me tell you all something. They did not disappoint me at all. I've rarely heard mention of this place and at first glance I thought it was an Asian style restaurant. Boi was I wrong and in for a treat. A must visit for all who live in CT
Ignore every bad review because this spot never misses!!! Each meal I’ve ordered has been perfection and this is my go-to for Soul Food in Greater Hartford. My first time trying the fish today and it is so flavorful and moist. I usually order takeout too so bonus points for the food tasting as fresh as eating in.
I recently had the misfortune of ordering takeout from Tasty 778, and I must say, it was an absolutely dreadful experience. Not only was the food subpar, but the attitude of the employee left a sour taste in my mouth. I feel compelled to warn everyone about the appalling service and advise against ever returning to this establishment.
From the moment we walked in to pick up our order, it was clear that the employee had a nasty attitude. We politely greeted them and expressed our gratitude for their service, only to be met with a dismissive glare and a snide remark. It was as if we had committed a grave offense by simply being customers.
As we waited for our food, the employee's unpleasant demeanor continued to worsen. They seemed completely disinterested in assisting us and made it abundantly clear that our presence was an inconvenience to them. It was shocking to witness such unprofessional behavior in a supposedly customer-oriented establishment.
To add insult to injury, when we finally received our order and thanked the employee, they had the audacity to say, "You're not welcome." I was taken aback by this blatant display of rudeness and lack of basic courtesy. It was a clear indication that customer satisfaction was the least of their concerns.
Now, let's talk about the food. It was nothing short of disappointing. The flavors were bland, and the presentation was lackluster. It felt as though no effort had been put into preparing the dishes. It's safe to say that the quality of the food matched the abysmal service we received.
I strongly advise everyone to steer clear of Tasty 778. The rude and unwelcoming attitude of the employee, coupled with the mediocre food, makes this restaurant a place to avoid at all costs. There are plenty of other establishments in the area that value their customers and provide a pleasant dining experience. Spare yourself the frustration and disappointment by choosing an alternative option.
DO NOT BUY HERE! Poor customer service. Staff and owners are very rude. I watched the owner and his wife attacked and assaulted a young lady because she informed them her food was the wrong meal. The wife sprayed the girl with some chemical when she complained. These people need to be shut down they are horrible!
