Visited Tarka twice since living in the area. The first time was back in January with some friends and we ordered a few different menu items. We get a few apps and a few main entrees. Everything we got was delicious and so fresh. I told my friends I’d love to come back and so that’s what I did last night for Ramadan iftar that’s buffet style. Unfortunately I was let down not with the food but in the price. My friend called a day or two before we planned to dine. She asked how much the buffet is for Friday she was told by whoever answered $19.99. Great we reserve three people Friday night. We go wasn’t crowded ate food it was good not as great and find price was 24.99. Was all confused because we were told a different price on the phone and show up with another price. That’s totally unprofessional in my opinion.
I am not exaggerating. I am a big foodie and I have tried all desi restaurants and this is the best you will find! We visit every week here and order Chilly chicken, Dahi bhalla chaat, Lahori Jat Maula karahi chicken/mutton, mutton biryani, zaffrani kheer, chai. We are amazed how this restaurant can make so many dishes so perfectly and it is authentic as well! Also try their mango lassi. Staff is superb. Mohammed is a great host.
We have been here a few times, and I would rate their food one of the best in South Florida. The must try food items are Karahi, Chana chaat, and BBQ platter. The only negative, I would say, is that the chaat is not always consistent. Sometimes, they make it too sweet. I would still rate it 5 stars for food and service. Mohammed, the server is amazing.
Our entire family of 20 people dined here and we experienced Quality and Hospitality.
The Lahori Fish was impeccably seasoned, offering a delightful blend of spices. The Chicken Karrahi was rich and flavorful, with tender pieces of chicken. The Mix Grill BBQ showcased a variety of perfectly grilled meats, each succulent and well-marinated. The Haleem was a comforting, and the Nihari was a flavor-packed. Paired with naan, it was a delightful culinary journey through Pakistani cuisine.
I highly recommend dining at Tarka.
About the Pakistani Restaurant:
This Pakistani restaurant, located in the Coral Springs area, is reminiscent of a fine dining establishment.
About the Experience:
During my visit, I ordered the mutton karahi, which was undeniably amazing in taste. However, the drawback was its high price. Additionally, I tried the nihari, which was decent but didn't particularly stand out.
One notable downside was that the food, although flavorful, felt excessively salty and didn't sit well with me. This, coupled with the high prices, influenced my overall rating. If not for the saltiness and the relatively high cost, I would have gladly given this restaurant a higher rating.
In summary, while the food was delicious and the restaurant had an upscale ambiance, the high prices and the issue with saltiness affected the overall experience, warranting a three-star rating.
It is safe to say that this is one of my favorite restaurant! Everything that I have tried so far has been good. Super flavorful and has an authentic taste. During my last visit the owner gave me a little history lesson about his country and the food! Great people great food! Shoutout to the chefs in the back
First time here and it was exceptional! Was invited by a friend to try Pakistani food for the first timeqt Tarka and everything tasted great! We had the buffet and every single item I tried was so tasty, especially the tandoori chicken and the cow heel soup. The desserts were a treat as well. I will definitely be back!
Just went back to this place after six months. The food is terrible ngl. I miss the old Tarka that had the best barbecue in Florida. Since the chef changed the place had went downhill. The tikka masala tasted bald and watery. The barbecue is okay, and don’t get me started on the mango lassi. The lassi tasted and smelled very bad. Compared to the prices this is terrible. I also went there a few months back for their breakfast. The same issue with the taste. Not going again ever.
