The first thing I noticed here was the service. This place can get busy but they do have plenty of staff on hand and all work in unison. The service was excellent even when they are full. The food was also excellent and it started as soon as I sat down with chips, salsa, queso, guacamole sauce. Orders were brought to the table piping hot and in short time. Tea was kept constantly filled and even when I finished empty plates were removed and salsa and sauces were refreshed. A complimentary sopapilla was also delivered as I finished my last bite on a the main dish. Great place to dine.
If there was a 6 star rating, that’s what I would give. The best Mexican in the OKC area. We arrived at 5pm on Friday and the place was packed. We waited for a booth. Get this… before we even sat down they placed chips, salsa, and cheese dip on our table then when we ordered, our food was on the table in LESS THAN 5 MINUTES! And the food was fantastic!
Our waiter, Mynor, has worked there for over 20 years so you know they treat their staff well. One word of caution… margaritas are $14+.????

So I am a Texas native so being from here I eat alot of Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine. So when I went to a graduation over the weekend they said let's eat some Mexican food. I was alittle skeptical because Oklahoma isn't really known for Mexican food. But I was quite shocked when I ate at the place. I am have to rank it in my top 10 fave Mexican restaurant. For starters we received the chips that were super fresh and you were give 2 salsas/white queso. All the food on the menu looked so good so I decided to get a plate which came with a tamale, soft taco and enchilada plus rice and beans. I was stopped myself from licking the plate clean.
Love to stop at Tarahumara's after church on Sunday's when Mexican food sounds good... this place knocks it out of the park.. amazing food and the best service anywhere !! I had the #7 and the wife the #10, but we haven't had anything that isn't amazing... and ask for the green sauce, it's great.. when I feel like authentic Mexican, this is where I go !!
Great food and fast service! They treat you like family and are good for takeout or dining in. I have never had a bad experience eating at this location. The only reason I get four stars to atmosphere is because the open space makes a very loud environment. it is difficult to hear the person you were with, but still a very fun environment just not ideal for serious conversation.
I had a fantastic time at Tarahumara Mexican Cafe! The food was absolutely delicious, and sharing the experience with friends and family made it even better. The service was great, although it was quite busy when we visited, resulting in a 15-minute wait. But it was totally worth it for the amazing dining experience! Highly recommended!

I've been dining at Tarahumara's for years and never been disappointed! The food arrives sizzling-hot and served by considerate, friendly staff. Expect generous portion sizes and always arrive on an empty stomach (or be prepared to split your meal with a friend!). Honestly, the hardest part about eating here is it's so easy to fill up on the salsa, chips, and burrito shells before the meal arrives!
Whether I've gone with large groups or small groups, the quality of food and service remains consistent. Their roasted vegetable quesadilla is to die for if you're looking for something meatless. Be sure to ask for a take-home box so you can enjoy any leftovers later!
Holy Cow!! First visit and definitely not the last. This was the quickest, most efficient, friendliest place I think I've been. AND, I didn't feel rushed at all! The staff were all assisting each other and working together. The food came out quick and hot. The chimichanga I had was the best I've had. The chicken in it was very flavorful. Chips were good also. We had a positive experience overall. We will definitely return.
