Que deliciosa comida typica “Tex-Mex”!
Eat-in or to-go, this is your fine locale to get some good, nourishing comfort foods at a reasonable price. Looks can be deceiving , and this isn’t a corner ‘greasy spoon’. The plates are prepped fresh with quality ingredients. TV’s show international soccer. And the counter servers, Giselle & April, smile and hustle through the long work shifts.
I’m not local to Mesa (my cool kid brother lives here) and, yeah, there are a plethora of Mexican restaurants all throughout Phoenix. Still, coming to Taquitos Jalisco this 2nd time makes me wish I frequented to the SW of the USA ???????? more often.

The chorizo breakfast burrito was on point. Incase anyone is curious the taquitos Jaliscos on Alma School is not owned by the same owner
I called ahead to ask about portions for their burrito. I was completely misinformed. I was informed their portions were a shareable size “oh yeah they’re large burritos”. I was also told their burritos contained cheese ( it did not and apparently it cost extra after I called and informed them there was none inside), cilantro/onions, beans, and pico. Upon ordering it was extremely simple. It was the 4 carne asada burritos no pico (simple right?). I do not live in the area. After arriving at my destination 20 miles 1 way. I called and requested to speak to the same person and told them there was only beans and meat (plain and boring) and definitely not a shareable size. I also told them it is NOT for 2 people. It’s only enough for 1 person and a little leftover. This person was translating with the kitchen that “no pico” was interpreted as none of the other ingredients. I did not even receive and apology and this person stated that I can go back and pick up the rest of the ingredients. Such a simple solution and suggestion! I told them their competitor with the same exact name has actual shareable portions. This employee responded with “you should have went there”. First off, I love trying new places (hole in the wall). I’m a big supporter for small businesses. This employee is clearly not the brightest, I’m well aware that I can go to ANY place. The taste of the food didn’t even make up for it. Just go somewhere else before it’s suggested.
Pretty good food! The portions are huge compared to drive thru Mexican food, and about the same price. Was very short wait time also. We got tacos and enchiladas. They also sell cute keychains and rings for cheap which is cool.
Was referred here by a co worker and wow was this place good. I was between a shrimp burrito or carne asada burrito. Well low and behold there special was Mar y Tierra burrito ( Land & Sea) which consist of both shrimp and asada!! I was beyond satisfied, the grilled flavor of the shrimp with the nice and marinated asada hit the spot!! I be Back!!
I stopped by Taquitos Jalisco for an early lunch on the weekend and was pleasantly surprised with what I found. The inside was already pretty full with several people dining in. I placed a takeout order for 4 tacos, 2 carne asada & 2 al pastor, and the ordered was ready within 3-5 minutes. The outside doesn’t look like much but Taquitos Jalisco is doing good food at a reasonable price.

I’ve never tried anything I don’t like from here!! This is the crunchy shredded beef taco combo plate. It’s absolutely delicious and the quality of the meat is amazing!
