This place proves my theory that the best tacos are usually served on paper plates. During my two day visit I tried nearly every taco, and they were all fantastic: fresh, tasty, simple. Highly recommended!
Taqueria Zacatecas truly is a hidden gem in Hesperia! The authentic flavors and inviting atmosphere make it a must-visit spot for any taco enthusiast.
I started off with a bowl of menudo, and it was simply delicious. The rich broth and tender tripe were seasoned perfectly, creating a comforting and flavorful dish that hit all the right notes.
Next, I tried the tacos de cabeza and they did not disappoint. The meat was incredibly tender and packed with flavor, making each bite a true delight. The handmade tortillas were the perfect vessel for these mouthwatering tacos.
The service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. The prices were reasonable for the quality and portion sizes provided.

Wanted to try a "hole in the wall" spot hoping to find some good "street tacos". The cook was very inviting and friendly. Grabed a Pacifico and ordered carnitas and carne asada. I am particular to my carnita taco meat and it was more like chopped up ham instead of slow cooked brisket. The carne asada was decent but nothing special. The older gentleman cooks better (doesn't rush & over cook) and uses more cilantro & pico de gallo than the other guys (use stale tortas and dried over cooked meat). The salsa is spicey but not flavorful. 1st visit was very good (older cook). The 2nd visit ensured I won't go back as it was complete garbage (other cook) and I dissapointed buddies I took fkr their 1st time seeking a carne asada & carnita taco spot.
Called over the phone for California burrito , the worker asked if I wanted everything which I asked what is everything in that burrito he proceeded to tell me it includes rice and beans. A classic cali burrito never has rice of beans first red flag. First bite into my burrito there was lettuce, it was the worst burrito I’ve ever had . I hate to do reviews like this but it messed up my stomach so bad I got food poisoning.
I got one of each taco I give there tacos a 7/10 they weren't great and they weren't bad but better than normal I've tried horchata was good. The mild sauce wasn't spicy if you're used to spice.
I drive past this place everyday when I go to work and finally decided to give it a try. My chilaquiles were extremely soggy. Literally falling apart. I’ve never been served chilaquiles like this before, was very disappointed. The verde sauce was nice and hot though. Rice and beans were nothing special.
The best menudo in the hi desert. Meat always tastes clean. Their red sauce is so good!
