I have never had a taco place make me smile more than here. Only 5 seats in the whole place, the food made to order by the sweetest lady ever. It is cash only, and I would brush up on your high school Spanish!
Nothing taste better than mexican food prepared by a grandma. Very homey restuarant.

One of the most authentic taco experiences I have ever had. I walked in planning to have a quick lunch and ended up leaving an hour and a half later feeling like family even with my limited Spanish speaking ability. The woman who cooks is a true master of the craft. The tacos were outstanding but even better was the experience. Already planning on coming back to try the breakfast.
The chicken taco was the best and freshest I've had in Chicago since Nuevo Leon burnt down. It tasted homemade like in a small Mexican town or San Diego. I've only been there this one time so I do not know if it is consistent, and it took the lady a long time to make it. But it was the best I've had in Chicago. There are only three seats at the bar to eat at. It's a very small place and I will go back to sample everything on their very Limited menu.
Lady was very very nice and sweet. Food was very disappointing I found a bone in my chicken tacos. The tacos tasted dirty. The quesadillas were past subpar. House threw me off. The restaurant was in a literal house. Lady was very nice though!
This place doesn't look like much, but looks are deceiving. There are just a few stools at the counter and then the kitchen right there in front of you. The cook insisted I sit while she warmed up the tortillas, and then she served up some seriously delicious chicken tacos. Definitely worth stopping in, keep this local business going.
Small 5 seat joint. Hours are a bit awkward but once you get a chance to eat here you will always return. Little old lady cooks right in front of you. Pretty much her own kitchen. Cash only though! And it's super affordable
Absolutely love this very small joint. Food is authentic, cheap, no frills, and ridiculously delicious. The adorable abuelita cooks your food right in front of you. An incredible atmosphere. I want to keep this secret to myself but also...support small businesses! Help preserve the core of Pilsen :)
